Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (7/11/2006 6:10:49 PM)

The plan doesn't come with Tile Print, just the airfoil. I guess I should include a few plans.

Anyways, see this post for the Bulldog plan.

Bipe Flyer

And so what happened to "www.blackflight.com" ?

After reading so much about tileprint and being in the mood to grab a copy, I've been totally frustrated in my attempts to find it. I know you're covering costs now with a minimal price and have no problem with that. But I won't pay for what I can't find !

Maybe Blackflight closes on Sundays ? [:D]

My ISP has been having server problems for the past few days. Hopefully they can sort it out soon.

Tile print is a wonderful program You will be well satisfied. I can't believe all it will do for such a small price.
Hat's off to Bipe flyer for taking his own time to make a great product for cheap for us poor slobs who can afford few of the nicer things this hobby has to offer!

No He doesn't pay me to say these things just another satisfied customer.

You're too late ! [>:] .................... I've already downloaded the program and paid for it [:)].

Now if I could just get Bipe Flyer to mail me an access code so I could use it.

Richard

Bipe Flyer, I do love my Tile Print for sure. I can take a magazine size (or smaller image) and scale it up or down.
I can then print it out and tape the pieces together and make a whole plan that I can build from or make templates for cutting airfoils, windscreens, wing fillets, etc.
This of course works great if you have all the parts in one single file.
I do have a question:
Can I use Tile Print to scan a full size plane in 2 or more sections (my scanner will only scan up to legal size images.) and merge them together so as to make a single file? Sort of like running Tile Print backwards.

Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (11/23/2006 12:23:25 AM)

Currently - no. We're getting into Photoshop territory here.[;)] It's a definite possibility though. I'll be looking into it.

build light -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (11/23/2006 1:22:02 AM)

Thanks Bipe Flyer! What a guy!

Still I was hoping for something such as : import and hit undo several times!

I have a couple of really good image programs such as Jasc Paint shop pro and I even have a not terribly old version of Adobe Photoshop that I got for a reduced price from a friend who was upgrading to a newer version. With such power that I have I wield hardly any. If they were only as friendly as Tile Print!

Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (11/29/2006 7:21:24 AM)

It wont make it into the next update, but here are a few new features that are coming in the next week or so.

1. When you set the scale for a plan, Tile Print will remember it the next time you open the plan.

2. You can create notes that will be attached to each plan and can be viewed/edited by clicking on the notes button.

3. Once you have set the scale for the plan as per the marked dimensions, you can scale it up or down by whatever % you want. This will save doing the math if you want to do something like a 50% size 1/2A version of a .40 size plan. The dialog box shows a mini preview of the scaling relative to the original size.

Raymond LeFlyr -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (11/29/2006 5:37:21 PM)

I just downloaded build 518 - for FREE!! It just keps getting better'n better. Thanks.

Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (11/29/2006 8:59:40 PM)

Yes, if you have a licensed older version then the upgrade is free.

rszanti -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (11/29/2006 9:31:58 PM)

And how do you get to the newer version ?

I realize it can be downloaded but will it simply overwrite the old version or must you re-enter the acess code ?

Richard

Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (11/29/2006 10:20:29 PM)

In Tile Print, on the menu click "Tools" > "Check for Updates". Tile Print will then tell you if there is a newer version and allow you to update your copy without having to re-enter anything.

build light -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (12/14/2006 7:03:18 AM)

I recently did my update. Thanks Bipe Flyer!

I am having a problem with my Tile Print that I was hoping someone could help me with.

I found some DXF file plans that I wanted to use Tile Print to print them out for me and I cannot for the life of me get Tile Print to properly open the files. The program does open the files but all I get is a tiny black rectangle in the middle of the page.
I can use Volo Viewer to open the same file perfectly. However it is not print friendly and I like Tile Print much better.

Am I doing something wrong? If not is there a fix or workaround?

I found the free plans to download here:

http://www.azchuckrc.net/wingthig.html

I was interested in the So Slo or even the Wing Thing. Help?

Robert

Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (12/14/2006 8:09:13 AM)

When you open the DXF, you should be prompted for a resolution size. Try something between 2000 and 3000.

Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (12/14/2006 8:46:37 AM)

Another new feature on the next update will be a file browser. With the file browser you can see a list of all the files that you have opened with Tile Print in the past. Hover the mouse pointer over a file name and you will see the notes for that file. Click on the file and it will be loaded into Tile Print.

build light -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (12/14/2006 5:10:07 PM)

Thanks Bipe Flyer. Actually I did try that a couple of times. the first time I wanted to try 1000 but entered an extra 0 so that I had 100,000. It gave me a limts error and I had to restart the program.
I then tried 100 and it gave me the same error. so I gave up on that.

It works fine with your advice.

Robert.

This is a joke right? I've downloaded this program a number of times, paid the key fee and it does NOT work on my computer. If it's any good it would come on a CD instead of the internet. On to the sexy italian...

Steve --

I have it and it runs without problem. Have you contacted Bipe Flyer directly -- I'm sure he will help get it up and running. Believe me, what he gets per copy for the program is not much of a return for the development time he has in the software.

Bipe Flyer -> RE: Printing Tiled Plans - Free Program (12/16/2006 11:37:27 PM)

Steve,

I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with Tile Print. We can do an online web support session with GoToMeeting where I can see your PC and try to resolve the problem or if you prefer, I'll refund your money.

Tile Print is installed and running on hundreds of PCs using Windows 98, NT, XP and Vista.
What OS are you using?

I'm part Italian, BTW.[;)]
