Hello:

I've run a search to see if anybody has made a posting about the late FASA (now WizKids' game) "Crimson Skies." In the game, they have some real strange looking aircraft, some of which just might be able to be modified into actual rc model airplanes. I don't have any photos yet of some of the models, but they are interesting to look at - thats for sure!

Had to edit(add sig line)

There's a fine thread about some of them over here.....

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=160033&highlight=fantasy+scale

Some of the designs are just not pratical what with engine positions being WAY too far away from required balance points or vertical fin placements that are just not going to work either structurally or aerodynamically. Oddly enough some of the designs can be found in forms that are very similar over at www.luft46.com . But there are also a few designs that with some minor mods would be quite possible to fly.

Howdy everyone!

I've noticed at some Hastings music/books/video stores that they have some of the Crimson Skies air pacs discounted half to even 3/4ths off the regular price of the pack. Each pack contains two pairs of aircraft models form this game. If you happen to be interested in this stuff, they keep your eye out for these deals. I've picked up three different packs in the last two weeks from my three local stores. I've now ogt all four packs and some of those planes do look like with simple modifications, that they could be made flyable.
