My son opened his Duratrax Overdrive St today..WE had a ball breaking it in but after 4 tanks in the break-in period we didnt notice that the 3 screws that holds the pull-start housing had vibrated out ...so on the 5th tank as he pulled to start it the cord didnt go back in and the housing came loose from the crank ....what now ....how bad is this to repair..also the set screw for the 2 speed vibrated out....We are both pleased with the performence, handling ect....Jusst need some help...THX

The pull start is most likely repairable. Just have to wind that possessed slinky back into place. ( I can't take credit for the possessed slinky reference, it's from the Nitro Engine Guide which is worth picking up.)

From what I've read here, the best solution for the setscrew on the 2 speed is to drop a dab of loctite in there after you've got the screw in, you can still adjust it, but the loctite keeps it in place.

Its probably a good idea to go through the whole things and make sure everything is tight.

Or if you want to use it whilst the pull-start is broken just use an electric drill that fits the one-way bearing and start with ease. **** the pull-start i did the same now i use the drill much easier.
