Looking for flight experience with this 120 size ARF. It comes two ways #1 Full lenght airlerons or #2 Airlerons and flaps. My inclination is the full lenght airlerons but how do you guys feel?

    Hi Dave,

There is a lengthy thread on this model in the ARF/RTF forum. If you do a search for "FW3D" you should find lots of info on this model. As to your question -- I think not adding the flaps is a mistake. This plane is really fun when you do the mixes for crow mode and slaved flaps to ailerons for full span ailerons...

I agree completely with Galen. Using the right radio and mixing functions lets you electriconically couple the flaps to the ailerons, making one big aileron. A flip of the switch and you uncouple the flaps and ailerons you and can use "crow" mixing for some great stunts.

I've flown this plane with the split wing and an RCS 1.6 gas motor. In a word FUN, FUN, FUN. An absolutely great flying plane that will do ANYTHING you ask of it if it's set up correctly. Don't limit your options, use everything it has to offer.
