First off I dont want to afend people, but Im prolly going to..So here go's.....

Every time I open an R/C car magizine of any type,I always notice something
kind of funny about the off road race results.... The Losi trucks seem to be 99.9 percent of the time THE WINNER.... Whats the deal with this...And if the Losi trucks are winning all the time, why in hadies would anyone buy the RC10 GTs? ... And I know the first thing Im gonna hear from Associated fans, are "Well its just a matter of who's the better driver, rather than the truck"
Well then you gotta ask your self....Does Losi have all the better drivers?
And if thats the case, why do all the better drivers pick Losi over Associated in the first place...
What Im trying to say softly here in a harsh matter is,...Why would people buy junk for the "near" same price of the leading compitition trucks?

I personaly have never owned or driven an Assosiated truck, its just how I see it!
Give me your opinions on this and dont be afraid to lay the smack down! Im up for it!

GTs are not better Bashers. They are no tougher than the XXX-NTs. In fact, they are weaker because of the overly simple design. Traxxas Nitro Rustlers are not good racers, but are GREAT bashers. The XXX-NT is just a slightly better design than RC10s. Although...since it is mostly driver...I guess all good good drivers pick Losi....I wonder why? . I love my XXX-NT! Handles so great! WIll never give it up for any other ST!

Alright this is what I was hopeing for!.... I glad you guys have an opinion about this matter, and I want to here more about your outlooks on this...I thought I would post this since a friend and I got into an agument over which was an "all around a better truck"in the long run...And this will settle it once and for all with all of your views on the matter...

And while Im at it.....Has there ever been a time when any other brand of ST's have beaten the Losi for a period of more than a few races over a race season??? NOT THAT I KNOW OF!!! But I admit I could be wrong, and would like to hear more about it...

I guess I just love my Losi's.... So for all you RC10 fans throw some more ups for your Associated trucks and tell me why you prefer them over Losi's... And dont take it as I hate Associated...Im just ignorant of knowledge on RC10GT's .....

I have to admit...the RC10T4 SLIGHTLY better than the XXX-T but not much. Its just newer. But the GT aint got nothin on the NT lol. NT is more durable. The only thing the RC10 might have on the NT is more hop-ups. But the NT has plenty to be very competitive! The ONLY thing I dont like about the XXX-NT is the lack of Carbon Fiber parts!

Po,
Come on, "the nt is more durable"? better handling out of the box yes, but more durable. Anyone that has owned both will tell ya otherwise.

The real question Cowboy was asking is why are the Losi drivers winning all the races?

Answer, because they are the best drivers. you give Adam Drake a GT, give him a few days to dial it in, and he'll win with it. It's all about the driver. Losi is offering sweet sponserships to the best drivers

Watch out for Mugen, they'll be knocking on the door soon. They are starting to put together a ST program for their MST. More guys are running the MST every day

The only thing the RC10 has over Losi is power. I put in an OS15CV-R and no RC10 can catch me now. as for hop ups i think we Losi drivers don't need as many. This is one tough truck

What about hop-ups for the Losi...Im just going to be a backyarder, not a race fan due to the lack of tracks round here.Seems to be more bashers than racers. You guys think graphite or aluminum?

I have raced both the XXXNT & the RC10GT. I prefer the RC10GT because Associated makes their truck so much easier to work on. I have nothing bad to say about LOSI XXXNT.I hadd all kinds of trouble with the trany, rebuilt it 10 times in one racing season, replacing all parts and upgraded to a metal gear in trany, new casing. The truck handled better under acceleration than the GT,but the GT handles better off acceleration ,but I fell more confident with the GT overall. But this is just my 2 cents. Drive what you feel most is a better truck, driving skills is more important than what truck you race . Have fun and race hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats right, its all opinion. i know a lot of people that have both and MOST prefer the rc10gt. i don't have the xxx-nt but i love my rc10gt (even though it gets no runtime now that i have a savage) and its a great truck compared to anything and its very easy to work on, you could tear down the truck in an hour.
