Status: offline 		Just wondering how old the people are that I'm talking to and getting advice from. I've found that alot of younger people are fairly well versed in this hobby. Why would I ask this as if it mattered? Well quite frankly it doesn't matter just curious. I'm 23 been in the AirForce for 5 years, got a wife and kid and still make time for anything and everything R/C. (wifey doesn't appreciate it too much though.)

Status: offline 		I am 52. Did 7 years in the USAF right out of high school. The best years of my life. Had a wife and kid and lived for RC planes.
Fly mostly electric now. Have been flying since 1965.

Status: offline 		I'm 46, been flying helicopters on and off for 10 years, fixed wing for 20. Fly a lot of electric park flyer fixed wing, but have been flying helicopters primarily for the last couple of years. Besides my park flyers I currently have 1 nitro plane (Great Planes P-51), 1 nitro heli (Hawk Sport) and 2 electric heli's, Hornet and Corona.

I've worked in Radio and TV shops doing repairs to various equipment and now work as a maintenance mechanic at a electric motor manufacturing plant. I hold a General Class FCC license and specialize in electronics.

Status: offline 		Gee, VULTCH, we seem to have similar backgrounds. I too am an electronics tech. I used to work in a TV shop, now repair industrial electronic equioment for a company whose primary business is electric motor repair. Been flying about the same length of time and also have been into cars and boats. The electronics background sure helps in this hobby.

Status: offline 		I'm 31. I was also in the Air force for three years. Got out, now I work for the FAA. I just got into RC Heli's about a month ago, and have learned alot from this forum. I have an Aerohawk and a Voyager E. I still have alot to learn.

It's fun living like that most of the time, but when you come home with lipstick on your collar, and then the missus smacks you in the head with a cast iron frying pan, reality enters the room right quick. Though, I sure wish it would beat the ambulance JUST ONCE!

Status: offline 		28 yrs old here and been in the Navy for 10 years now, married with 2 kids. Headed back to Oklahoma from Japan here in 4 months and saying goodbye to the military. Been flying for a bit over 1 year and can say I have learned from some of the best here in Japan and feel my flying skills are much more tuned then most at this stage. I have been outta trainers for some time and now fly 3D. Just started learning how to fly Heli, and a micro is not the place to learn lol.
