Hey at least you GOT a reply.
No one there will talk to me because I asked where the parts I had paid for were and when I might get them.
Talking to a local guy here about his order from HH which was placed in Jan04, still no sign of his either.

These guys are simply arrogant and incapable of running a business. I dont mind flogging this horse because they still have US$218 of my money.

I got my order on time but the Heli was not RTF,all of the upgrades that were suppose to be in it were there but in their plastic sacks not installed, also the canopy was in three pieces also no charger for the battery.I went to web site and filled out RMA forms for all and then packaged up Heli and shipped back same day I got it.I E-mailed them with no response so I called the next day and talked with a lady, she was quite nice and after explaining to her what had happened she said I could have refund and it will be on next CC statement, she said refund would take two weeks to process,so I said fine. Also found out that they only respond to e-mails on Mondays and Fridays, they also E-mailed me when they received the Heli and said I will receive a refund. So some good and some bad cannot complain they were kind to me.

Don't buy to www.4mht.com
ebay seller: ****ascal

28 days after item no arrives yet. With the shipping option I paid for it should have been here 4-5 days after shipping (Express Mail Service). Ask him ONLY for shipping date and tracking number, I need this basic info to claim in my local postal office or fill insurance.

****ascal email response:

This is a letter that I cut and paste into inquiries for foreign shipments. I sell to a lot of foreign customers and welcome your business. I have never had a lost shipment. That does not mean it is without problems.

Most of the problems I have had are because the buyer gets too anxious. I have one gentleman in the UK that cancelled his credit card payment and caused me to incur over $115 expense in overdraft fees and credit card fees and then got the merchandise in less than a week later.

I have no control over the postal service. I will not ship other than Airmail and insured and the postage can be high as well as I have to charge a handling fee as I have to send an employee to the Post Office to fill out the customs forms. I charge a $5 fee for this.

You will still receive your merchandise at a bargain price. I ask that you agree to not cancel payment and that if lost you take care of filing the insurance. If you agree to these terms I am happy to sell to you direct or through Ebay auctions.

migueloc,

I have dealt with trascal on many occasions and have had no trouble. If you are disatisfied with his customer service, I wouldn't recommend helihobby at all. I would highly recommend trascal. This is based on what I have witnessed and my experiences.

Send back a defective heli with RMA number on 26-Feb-2004. Still waiting of a new one . These jerks don't answer ... For me in Switzerland it is very difficult to do something, can only write e-mails. Has anybody same expirience with this store ?

I've used them heavily in the past without any problems.....until now.
I placed an order for a new piccolo two weeks ago, and requested "express" shipping.
I waited a week before calling them to find out what was going on. I sent email and called for a couple days before I got through. At that time they explained that my order likely was lost and that it would be reshipped "express" for free.
Well it's now been almost another week, and I still have not received anything from them. The worst part is, they already have my money. I've sent emails and called repeatedly for over 4 days now and have not heard a peep out of them. This is really getting me frustrated.

i feel they have too much buisiness and they can't handle it. what sucks, they cary upgrades that no one else caries, but when i can i order for someone else by doing a web search. the funny thing is that the smaller companies i find the better customer service i get.
just my $.02

While I think you may be right about too much business, I just don't feel that that is an acceptable excuse. If they are truely that busy, then why don't they hire a highschool kid for minimum wage to just answer the phones all day long. They already have a first-rate web site, so surely they have the capability to quickly pull up web orders to check on their status.
At the very least they could implement an auto-response to emails that simply acknowledge customers inquiries and let them know they will get back to them within a certain period of time.
Right now, I get zero response from them...and if I didn't know better, I'd think they were out of business. What are they doing over there??? Closing the shop and spending all day flying, while ignoring their customers?? I'm simply baffled at the way they treat customers. And the worst part of it is just as you said....they are the only retailer of a lot of upgrade parts that I want. I will shop elsewhere for the parts if I can find them....otherwise, I guess I just go without from now on

Here is some info from someone who visits the store regularly (ME)

They reorged this winter, shut the store for a whle and moved stock into a warehouse (needed space bad) The store reopened inFeb, but has had stock problems. Owners seem to be concentrating at the warehouse, dont see them much. Stock seems to be slowly improving tho.
I was in yesterday to get a Robbe Eolo R22 I had been waiting on. They got 4 in! Several boxes of various items open and being inventoried. They tell me they expect to be fully stocked again by the end of the month. I asked for a price break or a date with the cute girl in their ad for waiting so long. they gave me the break

well, tonight I think I might have finally gotten through to them. I have been sending multiple emails every day and calling frequently since this past Saturday and have not had any luck reaching anyone until this afternoon.

I managed to get the number for the store-front and called....someone answered and was actually fairly helpful. Unfortunately all he could do was act as a middle-man between me and the warehouse. After being told they would call me back within 30 minutes with an answer about what happened to my order 3 separate times, I finally called back and threw a bit of a fit over the phone with the person on the other end. At first it didn't appear to get me anywhere, as this person just hung up on me. (though, honestly, if I were in his shoes, I would have done the same thing) What surprised me though was that Sean called me back within 10 minutes to try to settle the problem. So I'm assuming the person I spoke with must have notified him of the problem.

Sean explained that somehow, someway, my order had been lost and promised that it was being assembled today and that I would have a tracking number tonight via email and the web site. He also offered to include a few extra parts for free. I explained that I was not after anything for free and simply wanted someone to acknowledge my order was being processed or shipped since they had already charged my CC. The order was for a significant amount of money, and the fact that they already had their money and I had nothing to show for it was what upset me the most....that and the fact that they would not respond to email or even bother to answer the phone.

In the end, I explained to Sean that I will be satisfied once I have a tracking number showing my order shipped in full. I also told him if I do not have it by tomorrow, I will be calling again using all resources at my disposal to get what I paid for or a full refund.

We'll see what happens...

Well, it seems Sean pulled through. I now have a tracking number for my order...now it's just a matter of waiting for it to be delivered....hopefully everything is correct and I don't have to try exchange something. I can't imagine what a nightmare that would be.
I'm very relieved to see that it has finally been shipped, but very disappointed when I think about what I had to go through to get it shipped. I hope they clean up their act soon.

Sorry to burst your bubble but just because he gave you a tracking number is not proof that it has actually been sent, that might take another few days.......
It just means that a tracking number has been issued.
Fell for this before.............

Recieving a tracking number for Shawn is absoloutly a very good thing. He allways seem to be right on the ball!! If Shawn is dealing with your order, there should be no worries at all..I've delt with heli hobby (and shawn) so many times I can't count and have never had a problem especially from shawn.

i have had my first problem with them now.
I ordered a bunch of stucff and it all came in fast except the damn long curverd fork piece that keeps the swasplate in the same spot. I ordered the red one cnc ars and I got the screws to install it and the allen wrench but thats it. Kinda hard to think when they package it that those 2 screws and a little allen wrench would cost 12 bucks. The only thing I really needed to fly to ...well from them. I order most from www.allerc.com Ill keep all posted on tyhe outcome. I wrote them an e-mail but it looks like alot of peeps have in the past and Have had no luck....for the most part.

well, I finally received my order today. Everything I ordered was in the package, so no complaints there.

I do think it's worth mentioning though that Sean told me he would include a couple sets of main-blades free of charge both over the phone and in his follow-up email the next day. The extra blades were not in the box.

I replied to his email to let him know I received everything but the blades, but also told him I was not concerned about them. I just wanted him to be aware they were not in the box.

It seems to me that helihobby just has a serious communication problem...both with external customers and internally between employees.

I will use them again in the future only when I have no other choice. Everyone else...just beware when dealing with Helihobby.
