I ordered a Hummingbird package on the 19th and it still isn't here. With the shipping option I paid for it should have been here 2-4 days after shipping. I've tried to contact them to verify that they have the correct address, but no respnse and I have been sending emails for the last 7 days. I wish I could talk to them on the phone(I did leave my number too). If anyone knows what is going on ever there or if they are on vacation please let me know.

Well I wish I knew what was going on also. I ordered some parts from them over a week ago and paid the extra money for 1-2 day shipping. I emailed them twice and have not received a reply from them. The only thing I can think of is there real busy because of the holidays. I just wish if that is the case, they would value everyones business enough to reply to emails or put a message on there webside explaining their situation. The one downfall I find with this hobby is that I have to rely on ordering parts over the internet because there aren't any LHS here that carry the parts I need. And I haven't found one yet that sends the correct parts, responds to my emails or gets them to me in a reasonable amount of time. If you find one let me know.

Well I just went to Helihobby's website. There is nothing indicating delays due to the holidays. There store hours are tues.-sun 11-6. It says there web orders are taken care of 24/7. However what worries me the most right now is that I went to their tracking page to check the status of my order and they have nothing stored in their databse showing an order placed by me or being shipped. The confusing thing is I received the initial email from them showing they got the order, plus they have already charged my account. I am a patient person (you have to be with this hobby), but when i pay the extra money to get the parts sooner and they dont respond to my emails it's hard to keep my patience in check.

I don't see anything wrong with helihobby.com, but I havent ordered anything from them yet. They contacted me like 10 minutes after I sent in a request.

Take a look at their homepage. About half way down, on the right, they are advertising a Raptor Complete Package (including everything) for $540. I contacted them and said that I wanted 2 of these awesome $540 Raptor packages including a TX. maybe you can get a bird at an awesome price..I know that I will try... Its called False Advertising!!!

Hey Richie, I was just wondering if you have received your Hummingbird from Helihobby yet, or heard anything from them. I ordered my parts on the 20th 1-2 day mail. I haven't received them yet, today being monday.

I had problems ordering parts from my LHS, and helihobby is the third online site that I have ordered parts from. Every time something went wrong. It's just that trying to find a place with good customer service to order parts from is completely draining every bit of fun out of this hobby. I have just started this hobby and I am already considering packing it in because of the lack of GOOD customer service.

This is a headache I do not need because I cant get the right parts sent to me, or I get someone else's order, or the guy at the LHS forgot to put in the order because he was probably too busy daydreaming about his little R/C cars...or 1-2 day mail is taking longer than 9 days, w/o responding to my one email (which will be two by the end of the day) I JUST DON'T GET IT!!! Why does this have to be such an ordeal, and why do these online vendors, like helihobby not communicate with the people who are their job security. I would love to take my business somewhere else, but everywhere I go it's the same old song and dance, and I'm tired of it.

Sorry for the mini rant. I just had to vent about this because obviously I'm not out flying my Heli...still waiting on the parts!

Ok I said it in the other hellhobby thread and I will say it here, Helihobby could give two S*%$s about you, they figure as long as you get it the next day after they ship it thats next day shipping, express mail to them means they read your order really fast, screw it up and then it takes longer than snail mail for you to get it! , they have NO phone service to speak of, they take minimum 1 week to answer emails and whoever is reading there emails must not understand the English language very well, they say there website is updated daily but yet every order I have ever done including one over the phone has had at least 1 part back ordered, my recomendation is DONT USE THEM! Go here http://www.deeteeenterprises.com/ and give Dennis a call he is a great guy, ships fast and has no problem returning Email/phone calls and will help you out to the best of his ability, his website is ALWAYS up to date and I have just had a great experiance with him in general.
Here are a few others I have had a great experiance with.
http://dreamhobbies.com/dreamhome.htm
http://www.fxaeromodels.com/
http://www.precisionmodelproducts.com/
I chose Helihobby because they had alot of good reviews on some hornet forums I visit and they have the largest selection out of anybody but man was I wrong since I have done orders with all of the above companies and have had better than satisfactory results.

I received e-mails last night from Sean, but, they were a 5 days behind. Paying for express with them is a mistake. They say they put your order at the top but, who knows, it doesn't ship any faster. To me, if you ask and pay for express, that means you want it now and they should send it same day, or next business day. I don't care for the work ethic (being a .com business, with their actual store closed, i would think e-mail would be a priority, since it's the only way business can be conducted, no phone contact) but, they have the largest selection of parts. If your not in a hurry, use them. If you are in a hurry, use http://www.fxaeromodels.com/ they are really fast. But, they are closed until the 5th.Helihobby hasn't screwed anything up for me yet. I ordered an item on the 24th and it showed up today. So THAT, is pretty good considering it's X-mas time. I really haven't had too bad a time with them. My main issue with them is the e-mail situation. They are a .com business, e-mail should be a main priority.

I am the one who posted this thread. To answer one of your replies(bmratc72)... no I haven't received my order and they have only contacted me by way of an email 5 days after I sent it. On top of that the email did nothing for me. I asked them to call me... they didn't. I also stated that they had emailed me and said that my package had been sent. Well I paid for 2-4 day shipping and it has been 7 days since that email. It all boils down to this... (man it pisses me off as I write this!!!) they take all the orders they can along with your money knowing damn well that your orders won't get to you within a reasonable amount of time or even when they say it will. If I or anybody were to put as much effort into speaking the truth about their business ethics on the popular r.c. sites as they have put a lack of effort into their customers and business ethics they would be lucky to get any informed customers at all to buy from them. I just want to get what I paid for and be done with them forever. At this point I will absolutely never do business with them again! When you read threads that talk down about them it is not the few and far between, but the norm. O.K. I'm done ranting and raiving... for now. Good luck if you an order pending with them.

I agree. RIght now i'm having problems with the scum over there too.
I ordered a piccolo from them that was in a package that had a few small parts missing. The parts add up to a little over $10 that were missing so its not like i'm asking for the world!!!
To add to my frustration i broke a part on mi first few flights and have ordered those parts and e-=mailed them about the missing parts from my first order. They did read my e-mail and i know that because i have a program that tells me when they read it, but i haven't heard anything back from them since. No parts, no e-mails, no calls, NOTHING!!!! I hope they are reading this because If they don't get my crap to me soon i'll be posting this everywhere so everyone knows how they are.

flying weasle, I read your post to understand that you placed an order with Helihobby on the 24th and received it today the 29th. What did you use, I used 1-2 day shipping, on the 20th and today being the 29th I have received nothing from them. Richie didn't order parts but orders a Heli on the 19th and still has received nothing. WHAT THA...!?! That reallyis great for you weasle, and I mean that, but it just shows how unorganized they are. And if they want to say they were holding my order for some parts... then email me! I know it doesn't do me any good to get upset, but that just shows how unorganized they are, it shouldn't be that difficult. I can say this, I really thought I was a patient person but this is testing my limits.

i ordered my xmas hummingbird from them in november, because i figured they would get bogged down with work in december. well, i used the cheapest shipping and got my kit in about a week. everything seemed to be in it. i had to buy a charger lead for my jr tx i got with it, i dont know if that was supposed to be included or not, but it cost me 12 bucks. everything else was fine however. i think it's just the christmas rush thats really messing them up.

regular priority mail from them. I usually get what i order in less than a week from them. I've spent around 12-1400.00 bucks there i guess over the last month or two.
I've ordered a part and had KB order a part the day after (we are in the same city) and he got his pack before me. NEVER, and i mean NEVER use express. It's a waste of money. They don't ship faster, just takes less time during shipping and gets 7 day a week delivery with USPS.

Well, they just proved that to me. I just checked my email and an order i placed on SAT. using 2-4 day mail was shipped today, because i got the invoice ( I decided to give them a second chance). However, I have yet to receive the invoive for the 1-2 day order I placed 9 days ago, and that is the one I need! So something isn't right over there. but your right weasle, I'm not using express anymore, it doesn't seem to be worth the money. I'm just frustrated that the parts I need havent even left the store yet.

Well I ordered my Hummingbird Package from them with JR transmitter on the 17th of December. It shipped the 19th, and was delivered the 26th. so that wasn't too bad. Going from the West coast to Atlanta, GA. I do have several problems with my kit, however:

1. There is no speed controller included
2. There is no charger for the transmitter, they removed it
3. The crystals for the receiver and transmitter are not matched

Talk about poor. WHY SHIP SOMETHING TO ME THAT I PAID FOR THAT IS NOT COMPLETE. I am getting ready to dispute with VISA. So they won't see my money until I get my parts.

Yeah try to tell them that something was opened and they send back a flame email. Had the exact same problem with the box being opened and stuff missing. I got my kit in Oct. and never received a matching set of crystals. Had to go to my LHS to get a correct receiver one... $12.00 later i could fly. I ended up just using a stand alone charger to charge the Radio. Great customer service HH... Keep Up the good work.... (note sarcasm) Use DeeTeeEnterprises, Great customer service and nice people to deal with, they even have a phone you can call!!!!

I to have had nothing but poor service from helli-hobbi. I also think used equipment with missing parts was sent to me. I looked at the Better Bussiness Bureau web site and there was only one complaint. There will shortly be two.

Ok, here is the latest with my situation dealing with Helihobby. Sean just sent me an email stating that my order was never processed because I did not use paypal! HUH!?!

First, it has been 11 days since I placed the "express" delivery order and he just now told me that. Second, They give you the option on the website to either use paypal or your credit card when you order. Third, they charged my account for the parts on the 24th of this month (but didn't process it). Fourth, the order I placed this past Sat. and it was processed on Mon. oh..and I DID NOT use paypal for that order! Fifth, when I sent an email to Sean on Monday inquiring why the second order whent out but not the first, I got the auto email saying your order had been shipped on Tuesday. Well guess what! They reprocessed the second order and failed to pay attention to the order number for the first one. So now I guess I'm getting my second order twice, but my first order not at all (I hope number five made sense). What the hell is going on over there???

I live in Langley, B.C., Canada and considered buying from helihobby but after reading a lot of negative comments about their customer service. I decided not to buy from them. I did buy a ms hornet off E-bay and was Fedex to my office within 4 days. I needed parts after a few minor crashes and had great success with the following dealers.

www.modelland.com - They are in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - bought ms hornet main shafts, pinions and other misc parts. Received in the mail in 2 to 3 days with a thank-you note.

I needed a gyro so I bought a gy240 from www.cyberheli.com- They are in Hong Kong - received a paypal invoice, paid it, they shipped the gyro and give me a tracking number. Cost was best I could find online and shipping was not bad as well.

I just bought a swash ball mod from www.zebrahobby.ca tonight. They are located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I heard good things about them as well.

I also bought a quickie ep 10 standard from www.racingdevil.com - They sell off E-bay but just opened a Local Store. The heli was missing a few parts, they replaced the parts plus threw in a few extra goodies. Given the xmas holidays and extra shipping delays. I am happy with their service.

In my humble opinion best way to avoid a business that doesn't serve up good customer service is to vote with your pocket book.

My 2 cents worth...

Gord.
