Garry A. reviewed the original plans and sent me an E-Mail. The stab should be at 0 degrees, not - 1 degree.

Interesting that when I checked the stab incidence on the fuselage I built per the plans it measured at 0 degrees.

He also mentioned that for the 33% version the scale wheel size is 5.5 inches, not 6 inches as shown on the plan.

Status: offline 		Nevermind on the radial Moki, just realized that you wrote Jungmann not Jungmiester. Crap, now I will have to build the 133 a playmate, at 35% no less.
That is if Gary publishes the plans. If so they will go in the que right behind his Tmoth. Thats next.

Status: offline 		When I got back from Austin I sat the wreckage in the corner. Today I finally got around to making some photos. There is very little damage from the cockpit back. The fuselage in front of the cockpit is pretty well intact. The cowl will require fiberglass work and I'll order another dummy engine. The left wing has little damage but the right wing has more extensive damage.

Fixing it is like eating an elephant, one bite at a time. It is well worth fixing!

Sorry to hear about the Jungie. I almost have the wings on mine then I can finish the fuselage. It might fly in another 2 or 3 years at the rate I am progressing.

Status: offline 		Ouch. Looks pretty clean though and definately salvagable. Like you say, "one bite at a time". I am taking the winter off from building this year. Will probably do a few rubber powered FF and I have a 1/2a pylon FF I want to do. Main focus is restoring my 75' MG. Got the urge to do some welding and wrenching.

Could you tell me how long the flights are on the 32 oz. fuel tank. I am trying to decide whether to go for 25 oz. or 32 oz. . Normally fly for about 5 min at a crack, but if we go to a flyin may want more time available. We are up to installing the power system now and have decided to use an FPE 4.2. It sticks out of the cowl a little bit, but I have been having problems with the Zenoah getting hot in the Extra and decided to order something else. Rigging the wings has been a lot of fun, I will be sorry to see this airplane done, I haven't had this much fun building one since I was in high school. I've also got plans for a 1/4 scale Jungmann so maybe it will be next.

Good to hear from you. I use a 32 oz tank with the Sachs 4.2. My transmitter timer is set for 15 minutes. I fly a lot of wide open throttle because the Jungie is so draggy and I have never run out of fuel. I really don't fly over 15 minutes but I have flown 15 minutes many times.

To answer your question, a 25 oz tank will be plenty, especially for 5 minute flights. I really don't know why you don't go ahead and install a 32 oz tank unless you already have a 25 oz tank. There is plenty of room.

As promised I have been rebuilding the Jungie. three of the wing panels were broken pretty bad on the inboard end. The top left panel was unbroken. The fuselage was broken in half. Top and bottom wing center sections had damage. The LG was bent. All of these items have been fixed plus several more. I'm waiting for the covering to come in. I still have to repair the cowl. By early spring it will be flying or before.

Glad the repairs are going well. It should fly well again. I have the wings and tail mounted and rigged, starting on the stringers and etc. on the fuselage. I will probably do the gear in the spring after my hand heals up from surgery. To much mechanicing seems to have messed it up. By next winter I may be covering it, I hope. When it gets a little farther along I will send pictures.

Status: offline 		This afternoon I strapped the fuselage down and ran the engine, a Sachs Dolmar 4.2. It runs as good as ever. Ralph Cunningham did a good job straightening the crank.
