JaderVason -> RE: Walmart Submarine = Cool ! (6/19/2004 8:50 AM)

OK guys, since we've already past the point of no return in modding this sub, lets get down to the torpedos! I'm thinking..... Bottle Rockets work underwater Hmmmmmmmm Me thinks to drill a hole in the sub a tad wider than the rocket, attach some sort of magnet to the rocket so that if it strikes another sub, it will stick, and place saran wrap or something over the drilled hole so that the sub wont take on water before the rocket is fired. This mod has plenty of flaws such as...Lighting bottle rockets in a miniature submarine, the hole that is left over after launching the torpedo, and whether or not the magnet head will work properly. Needless to say, these will be early WWII torpedos (non seeking). Plus, you'll have to have all kinds of servos and extra channels n stuff. Is reverse used all that much? Perhaps you could make reverse do the trick. Maybe after I acquire one of these bad boys i'll put my ideas to use. I'm not new to watercraft modification, I've actually built an R/C boat out of scratch. It is extremely well designed (albeit ugly) and even leans into it's turns. Wish I had been the first one on the modding scene but alas, the respect gained from being in that position is going to take some time.
