Status: offline 		Just looking for overall best stability. I was admiring the Proline Maxx performance suspension kit. It comes wih everything for about $150. But, I like the toughness of RPM stuff and being a new driver I figure I better go for toughest product out there.

SO, I think I talked myself right into the RPM stuff. But, Thanks for the help Mike.

Stuff is bulletproof... Plus, the proline kit lowers your truck.

I have heard you can't get a proline kit to even stock height- more
of a racing kit.

At least with the RPM, you get HD parts, a lifetime guarantee, and
it sits at stock height.

Plus, the neon blue stuff is just cool looking.

I did a total RPM job (shock towers & body mounts, all a-arms + bulkhead supports, + 3 piece skidplates) for like $80.00

Looks cool, and wow, it just doesn't break anymore at all.

Status: offline 		Yeah I decided to with the RPM (neon blue of course) A-arms I already had the skidplates. The only thing I didn't like was the website never told me that they were just "covers" for the stock skid plates. Anyways, I hope they're as great as everyone says. I also went ahead ordered titanium turnbuckles.

Where do you guys get your RPM stuff online?

Status: offline 		The CHEAPEST I have seen the stuff is an Ebay store - rcboyz... That is where I got all my stuff.

They usually have auctions for all RPM parts at any given time. It is a little bit of a savings if you
buy 1 item, but if you buy multiple items and combine shipping, you really save money. I think
I saved $5-$10 over tower hobbies when it was all done.

I knew the skidplates were just covers over the stockers... Think about it- if you buy some
nice aluminum skids, those will REALLY protect them... I think that was their intention.

Plus the long tranny cover/rear skid is great. By connecting the chassis supports, it really
removes some flex from the ride.

have like a 19,000 feedback rating, and like high 90% feedback rating.

Status: offline 		I'm zeroing in on the new RPM knuckles, as they come with MUCH bigger bearings (similar to UE, but I can afford 'em).

Anyhoo, Tower & everyone else sells them for $30-35 a pair (they COME w/the bearings!!), but the RC Boyz have 'em for $25.

They rock! They also ship quickly and do NOT overcharge you for the shipping, they pretty much do it at cost.

Status: offline 		Have you toasted the stock knuckles? I was considering the RPM knuckles too, but I just can't justify it when the stockers are pretty stout and well protected already.

Maybe if I hear your reasoning, I will realize I have to have them...

Status: offline 		I love RPM but if your gonna really beat on your t-maxx you need team integy aluminum knuckles. I have broke 4 rpm steering knuckles. Granted though they all broke in sub freezing temps. % to 10 degrees will make any kind of plastic or nylon brittle. Aluminum knuckles RPM everything else. My opinion.

Status: offline 		why would you buy from ebay or online at all,its way cheaper at the hobby shop and they have every thing the net has any way,and if they don't they order them for you and bam!nine o clock the next morning the parts are in.Plus who wants to wait for shipping

Status: offline 		I guess I really want to upgrade my bearings more than the knuckles themselves, but I like the idea of bigger bearings, so....

While we're on suspensions, has anyone used/seen others with this unique rear suspension setup? It gets rid of the turnbuckles, which is a good idea (never figured out why you want a steering-linkage setup on wheels that don't steer!).

Kinda expensive, even in plastic. But the idea seems great, as does the quality of the gear. Add in the uniqueness, and I find myself getting sucked in.

Status: offline 		Those are super cool. Just one thing, in a crash more force will be exerted on the hinge pins and bulk heads. Instead of stripping out a turnbuckle end or just bending a turnbuckle, you're gonna snap bulkheads, which are a bigger pain to replace.

Status: offline 		Well, I don't have any choice right now BUT to buy online... I'm in the air force and I'm stationed in Germany. There are some LHS's but with $euro$ rate being so sh!!ty lately it costs alot to buy anything... So, I look for the best deals online.
