A Kings Point classmate, Bill Rennie, was selected for the Blue Angels team, and he flew with them for some time. He was selected because he was Top Gun in the Pacific Fleet for 2 years running. This was because of his marks in air to air gunnery.

A great guy all around. He "flew West" last year, died of natural causes. RIP.

The Blues is NOT a career, enhancing tour. He was passed over for Captain, retired as CDR.

Hey your friend Bill was with the team 1960-1961. They were either flying the Grumman F9F-8 or F11F Tiger. The team leader in 1953
(RAY HAWKINS) was also passed over so He retired as a Captain. He told me that the Chief of Naval Operation did not like him.
Ray shot down 14 planes before he was 21, and three more in Korea. www.blueangels.navy.mil/ BOB MOORE

Bill told me a funny story once. He got a call from a young woman who told him she HAD to meet him, so Bill arranged a meeting with her in a coffee shop.

At the table, Bill asked her why the urgency. She said "Because I think you are my father."

She told him her birthday, her mothers name, and counted back 9 months, and sure enough, it was a distinct possibility.

Hi Guys, Im so happy to be in such great company here.
I'm an 800 hour private pilot with about 500 hours of Sky Diver Drivin' in my own aeroplane.

The first time I flew a C182 I brought it and flew it home right accross Australia (15hours flight time)
I owned VH-RLH for seven years and had it repainted and put a new prop on it.
Sadly now it is gone to a new home.

Apart from that, 80 hours in a C210, 16 in a Lance and time on 150, 172, 206's and the good ol' PA 140 kind of sums me up.

Brad

Sometime in the past I saw a story on "THE WINGS CHANNEL" t about the BT 14. The story said that the French has around 250 BT 14s when the Germans took over their country. The story stated that the Germans used these planes as Trainners.

Hi Everyone,

I fly Falcon 20 for a living, and my 180 when not flying R/C....I just wish that the Falcon that I fly had these rockets!! The lines at DCA and Hartsfield would be a lot short for me then!!!! It's great to be able to do what you love for a living and even get paid for it!!Jim

4800+ hours

ATP - Types - CE-500's, Falcon 10/100, Falcon 20
