So you are saying that because he has no experience he has no right to pose a question?

Let me put my 2 cents in the pot;

I have had the pleasure of meeting Mike a couple of times at the trade show in Chicago. Nice guy. Very open, answered all my questions. Advised me that I was trying to use one of their servos in an incorrect application, all with out making me feel stupid.

I have used their servos for several years, first in offroad trucks and buggies and then in planes. I have had mixed results in that time period, but the bad results stemmed from using the servo incorrectly or from the early 5### series.

All that to say that I think when Mike came on board with Hitec, for both he and a few others, it was like stepping in a bucket of dog s!$$. Hitec had a name for making cheap inconsistent servos. I think they have brought that around by figuring out they could nurse that bucket along enough to turn it into fertilizer and grow a GOOD product.

I like their servos. Have more than I care to count. I also have JR, Futaba and Airtronics. Guess what, under the right conditions, they ALL FAIL.

Will I buy Hitec servos again? Yep, the next time I need some that match what I am trying to do. Will I buy the other brands. Yep, next time I need some that match what I am trying to do.

This thread reminds me that I need to send some JR, Futaba and Hitec servos in for service.

Thanks for the reminder guys.

Ed M.

Nobody asked you to have time for it ****. You can KMA. I really don't give a RAT'S appendage about you or your opinion either. Why don't you try tending to YOUR business and keeping your nose out of mine. You are one arrogant SOB.

Here's a suggestion Learning Man; come back in a few weeks and reread the messages you posted in this thread, and note the attitude you used while doing so, and then tell me if it still sounds like a reasoned and measured discussion of the topic (still of which you have absolutely no experience).

Oh by the way, thank you for the PM. Your invitation was very sweet and I'm sure sincere, but we hardly know each other

Highflight

Learningman,

For what it's worth, you posted questions that I had as well about Hitec servos and I found your posts to be well thought out and genuinely directed at.. well.. learning.

As for being "confrontational", I only saw one contributor who I would characterize with that word, and it certainly wasn't you.
