Status: offline 		I was wondering if anyone knows of a site where I might obtain 3-views for a stinson reliant sr9? I have the Wylam <sp.> drawings now. I would like to compete with this aircraft. The Wylam drawings offer a split top view and split front view, and may be confusing to judges. My only alternative is to assemble my own 3view using what I have now. I'm not sure if the judges will allow this without someone authenticating the new 3-view.

Or, should I just submit the Wylam drawings?

Status: offline 		I have used the Wylam drawings in my documentation for the SR9. The judges really don't like what is being presented to them and does not help the static score at all. If you find something, please post it on here.

Bob has over 38,000 3-views and he might have one..coulldn't find one listed, but give him a call at 714-979-8058.

remember the 3-view should be used solely for the outline of the model.

Documentation should have these basic parts:

1) information on the full size airplane, yourself and the model, 1 page, just the basics

2) 3-view is used to judge the outline of your model only, and it not used for the paint scheme

3) photographs or some proof of color scheme. remember one key thing here, only show one plane, not a whole bunch of planes. Because think about this for a minute, you are making a mininature duplicate of one particular airplane, so only show one full size airplane to compare it against

4) proof of color - use a color chip or one picture from your photo set.

Always compare you plans you are building from to the 3-view and make the model match the 3-view.

Here is my comment about Wylam....Most of them that I have seen have major errors and I don't use them for documentation. There are better sources for 3-views that are accurate and will actually match your photos of the real plane. also remember the photographs of the full size airplane take precendence over the 3-view, but still point out to the judges in your doucmentation the differences between the actual full size airplane you are duplicating and the 3-view. Make it easy for the judges

Status: offline 		You mention that their are many better sources for documentation (3-view) drawings. What are these? I am looking for a good source of usable 3-view for a variety of early aviation craft such as the lockheeds, northrops, stinsons, etc. Do we have to purchase them one at a time from Bob's?
