One of my chargers is the FMA Supernova 250. I notice after cycling like my 700mah pack from one of my TX's it says it charged 1040mah to that pack. Can that be right.

Thanks,

Mike

Check it again in manual mode. It might have missed the peak.

I have noticed that when I cycle a battery pack with my Litco A4, that most of the packs cycle at 100ma over capacity on 4 cell packs, and about 100-150 on 8 cell packs.
What is the normal amount over capacity these packs usually cycle at.
When I cycle, the first cycle is to just empty the pack and get a full charge into it. When the pack has finally gone onto trickle then I start another cycle, and record this one.
I cycle my batteries at least twice a year, and record the results so I can look for any loss in capacity.

I think OldRookie has it right. Get a repeatable procedure and record the results over time. When you see a loss in capacity it is time to replace that pack. I think Red's website mentions that a 20% loss in capacity is the time to replace them.

The rating on packs is the MINIMUM capacity you should see at a C/5 discharge rate to 0.9 volts per cell. It is quite normal to see as much as 20% more than rated, particularly on new packs after a few cycles.
