Well I just ordered my new brushless motor/ESC and 1300mah 7.4V Lipo from Hobby City.com Can't wait to get it and see what kind of speed and run times I get from it. If 1200mah nimh's are getting from 20-25 minutes run time I should get at least 25-30 with my lipos right? God, my new parts cant come quick enough. hahahaha

I'm getting my Mini-T running for my B-day. I'm going to get a Slider Chassis and a Speed 300 motor. I have a 8 cell that I want to use with it.

Woot! I've decided to return the this hobby and gonna fix my mini-t, It needs alot of things yet so i figure i will just make it 3cell lipo and 8000 mamba, once i start getting parts I might make a build log or something... Anyways here is my plan for mods...

    Hitec HS-55 Servo,
    8000 mamba competition package,
    3cell lipo (Any recomendations)
New body, (Not sure what im gonna get yet)
    Bearings
Trinity tires and wheels, and anything else i can think of along the way!

I have about 70 bucks right now, i might order a few things today if my mother lets me lol

I'm having a problem with keeping the pinion on with the team orion baja motor. Does a motor plate have any effect on this or do I need a new pinion?

Not sure about the motor plate being an issue but I know mine is crap. This little motor blew me away when I saw how fast it goes. Almost as fast as a 4200kv BL. Kinda funny huh? Either case, I went and ordered a new metal pinion and aluminum spur gear from TheToyz. Can't wait to get them on. Only problem I'm having now is the Diff keeps stripping. So I'm getting the Dual pad slipper and the Aluminum locked spool, both on the way also. Does anyone know if the stock ESC/Receiver for these Mini's will handle 11.1v? Thanks, Joe

for one a metal pinion on a metal spur gear isn't good, causes tons of friction and alot more heat then if you running a metal pinion with a plastic spur. Also the locked spools from the toyz aren't that great I went through two of them, the diff cups that fit in both ends of the metal locked spook grind down after awhile and the diff cups will just spin in the spools whole where they go.
