What is the best speed to prop the YS63 FZ to?
The plane that I have it in doesn't have the clearance to put a 12" prop on it, unless you grease every landing.
The 11 X 7 APC turns just over 12000 with a rich setting. I see people write that they are running them at just over 10000-1100 on the ground.
How much will a prop unload in the air. I think the maximum RPM for this engine is about 15000.
I am thinking that the engine will unload too much and over rev.
Maybe I could go to a 3 blade prop.

I fly mine w/ 2 differant props.
13x6 APC (10,500) peaks at 11,400
14x4 zinger 10,200 peaks at 10,900

I personnly think an 11x8 prop isn't going to be enough prop unless you run it real rich.

Can you put bigger wheels on the plane? How about taller landing gear?

The engine runes real well between 11k and 12k. A 12x8 will give you between 11,4 to 11,8 K. Propping down to the 11x10 (if you can find one) will give you near the same performance.
Of course this depends on what you have it in and the type of flying you do! See the above threads for 3D.
