I was there all three days from 9 to 6, worked my tail off and never got to see the show. Now is that depressing or what?

Ray,

It sounds like we had a similar time at WRAM.

Don't get me wrong because I enjoyed myself but the time flew by and I was tired by dinner time.

I spent most of my time in these booths:

  • RCU
  • Hobby Lobby
  • FMA Direct
  • Quiet Flyer

When folks find out that you fly electric, their eyes light up and there goes another hour of talking. By 5:00 I was pretty horse. I remember Jim T. (Billy Hell) and I were having some drinks Saturday night and neither of us could talk very well.

I almost didn't recognize Tom Hunt because he lost so much weight since the NEAT Fair. He says that he's back at college weight now.

Granted, the WRAM show is not as big as Toledo, but then again, it's not in Toledo.

NYC is a blast! A quick train ride from White Plains into the city and your in the Big Apple!

Hopefully, the WRAM hosts will realize the potential for growth here and make some changes.

The 2004 WRAM show was the first time that RCUniverse has exhibited and we are very glad that we did. Hard as it is to believe, for every one person who came up to us that was a member of the site, there were 3 who have never heard of RCUniverse. How they survive in this hobby is beyond me! Each night we would leave the show very excited about the potential new membership that has yet to make way to the site - a sure sign that RCU will just keep getting better and better.

Together with Marc Vigod and Larry Eddy, we scoured the show to provide you with information, photos, and video interviews with vendors to give you a virtual tour in case you could not attend.

Check out the video interviews with:

  • Mike Mayberry- Hitec
  • Dave Patrick- Dave patrick Models
  • Bubba- Lanier RC
  • Don Kanak- Planes Plus
  • Jamie Marks- FMA Direct
  • Sal- Northeast Sailplane Products
  • Mike Dooley- RC Showcase
  • and the Guys of Quick Heli and Giant Scale Planes

The show was smaller this year. There were also some new faces. Dan, I hope you enjoy the lights. The company is Shulman Aviation \Taisun . I hope next year the exhibitor attendance will be better.

It was Chris someone. Not sure of his last name, but his handle is "freq" on the E-Zone.
