I have had some trouble that you guys might have found a solution to. The problem is that the smaller the length of tube the stiffer it is. and the less likely it is to let the clunk move. I have been on the look out for soft line, or heavy clunks, and even have taken to thinning the walls of the tubing with a dremel. It is very risky, because of the chance of pinholes.
Is there a solution or is the problem universal?
Anybody?

What is it's composition? I know that years ago I came into some small diameter surgical tubing that was perfect for 1/2 a stuff. It was the most supple tubing I have ever been able to find.

Guys, I saw Jeremy's Chipmunk at the field today (still uncovered) and it has to be one of the cutest 'lil planes I've ever seen! I mean that in a very positive way. VERY clean, uncluttered lines, neat cowling and is VERY light. It is absolutely a little jewel.

From what I have seen of it, there could a little competition for that coveted t-shirt.
Hey Jeremy please put it together, move your huge
giant thumb and get us a few pictures.

Look through the pictures he has posted so far,, wait,,, that isn't a 40 sized plane? And his thumb just looks like it covers 1/4 of the cord of the wing? Sorry

I am having a hard time getting a complete idea of what it will look like. Also the size just amazes me. Makes the Nano Bipe look like the spruce goose!!
And Hey,,, If you can impress Dickybird, your going to have no problem knocking my eyes out.

Really great job,
MR Flyer57

HI GUYS! The limpest tubing I've ever run across is being used for fuel shut off tubing by the C/L COMBAT guys. You can go to an archery supply and find some good stuff [it's black], or you can call Phil Cartier at his GOTCHA 500 listing. George Cleveland at GRS MODELS carries it too. If you can't get this stuff to clunk, well......... it actually clunks too well. I solder a brass tubing arm off the clunk, and use a short piece of this tubing only as a coupling to the out going line. I run steel tubing for a living[as an electrician], and I had a young plumber tell me once that if I let my pipe touch his copper, it would cause DIALYSIS !

Greetings AJ,
Bipe and I can tell you having lived there since the last contest, that the coveted position is at the top of the list on the T-Shirt

I mean, I have people stop me on the Street on a Daily basis who say "Hey arnt you Digger? The guy at the top of the list on the 1/2a Contest T-shirt?"

Its very rewarding!!!!!!

On a side note, I thought last year was tough to decide who to vote for, all you guys are makeing it an agonizing contest to vote!!!!!!!

Matchless, I want to know if this plane is a "Chip" off the old block?
