Status: offline 		I'm thinkig of swithing from 4.8 to 6 volts on my rec in my 33% extra,, Do I have to use a different charger other than a stock futaba 4.8 charger? I put a volt meter on the charger and it puts out close to six volts anyway??

Status: offline 		I use it but it takes a LONG time to get a full charge. I now use my field charger and then use my wall wart to maintain the charge.

Status: offline 		From what I know so far you need to charge a battery at 1.41 volts per cell... That would make it 7.05 the regular charger wouldn't work... your batteries wouldn't peak out.... you can go c size cells and keep 4 cells @ 4.8 volts but just get 1500 or 2000 cells.. I fly with that in my 1/3 scale banaza running 8 high torque servos for 7 flights.... your standard charger would do it.. Just would take longer.. If your charger is like 50 ma then charge 1 1500 pack for about 27 to 30 hours...
