Just got a new P-40 & i am unsure what engine to go with. Im intending on using 2 stroke what is the largest engine i can put in it? Could i put a 91 in it Ripmax suggests 61-91 size but been told otherwise so any help would be great.

A .91 would give you a lot of power. The model was designed around the O.S. 61 two stroke. And will fly very well with that size of engine if you keep it light. Ask around the local club to see if anyone else has built this model. The're recomendations are worth listening to.
On another note I have seen this model with a 1.20 four stroke. Flies like a RENO Racer with this size of engine.
Have you built any other TF Warbirds?
If you want a .91 in it go for it.

I am building the TF P-47 and I bought a Super Tigre 90 for it. The ST 60, 75, and 90 all use the same mount spacing. Being hardly any difference in the weight (or the price), I went with the 90.

AAC,
I find the Super Tigre 90 a great engine for the TF P-40 with a T/F in cowl header & muffler. I had to install a second partial bulkhead behind the firewall to install the muffler, with a flexable exhaust tube, (the blue high heat type) that blows the exhaust out the bottom cowl flaps. I built my Col. Robert L. Scott "Old Exterminator" TF P40 (Red Box version) with no holes in the cowl except for the needle valve and the low end adjustment hole. I also use 3 bladed Master Airscrew props, because I can't stand to have a 2 balde prop on a Warbird intended for a three or four blade propeller; it ruins the entire look of the aircraft! The ST 90 will haul your TF Gold Edition P40 all over the sky. My Super Tigres like to eat "Wildcat" fuel with 10% nitro and 16% castor and an OS #8 glow plug. Try it, you'll like it!
