Once again the guys threw a great event up at Castle this year. Just woke up from my nap, after 3 days at the West Coast Best Giant Scale Event. IMHO.
I have so much to write about, but I have not woke up yet, so first off, thanks to my Sqadron mates for being good friends....Scottie, Vic C, Ed Red, Debbie and Jessica, Sung Kim and Henry N. Leroy gets a honorable mention for showing up to cheer us on. (no pooping out next time Ron)
The guys working the registration table sure made me feel like a star, when they shut down the registration booth, and walked out onto the flight line to watch one of my hops. Thanks guys, I enjoyed my "15 minutes".
just finished 4 pages of images, no commentaries but drop back in. If you see your picture, please feel free to tell me about it, and I will add it for all to see. Gad I looked at my pictures, and realized that I just bearly covered the surface of all the planes that were at the event. Cant wait till next year. I will have another American Eagle Bearcat for 2003.
Ray

Paul, thanks, I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I was succumb to the heat of the day, and the bar be cue and alcohol at night.
Rudy, my pleasure, I love flying formations, just dont flinch, cause I like to get em in there real tight.
I cannot believe how many folks were asking about the Warhawk I flew two years ago. Made me teary eyed. Rest assured I will have another one next year, equally as loud, equally as fast, and with shark teeth just as sharp. Along with my Bearcat and Lightening.

Ray, next year remind me to pack my P-38 as well. I have yet to see two of those flying around together. I promise to do a better job of landing than I did with the A-37 Dragonfly.

Enjoyed the trip very much! Wish I could have stayed and enjoyed the broooskys everynight!
Sung, really like that A37, what a monster, I'll send you my digital pics of it, everyone enjoyed seeing it fly
Ray, sorry about your jug, next time you best save your P40 for Castle, I think your next Bearcat will be a crowd pleaser though. I think the guys shut the field down to see you fly because there afraid of getting their planes bit by yours.... hehehe...

Hey Vic, bit or hit by mine......what do ya mean. Maybe it was one of your trigger happy moments that went through my hydraulics, causing me to lose all flight controls.
Yes, I am very ready to do a knock down Bearcat as well. I am torn on doing the same scheme. Felix The Cat is my favorite unit.

You and I have flown sorties for many many years and I am not afraid and I know your capabilities. Our warbirds have yet butted head in the air, but some people just do not understand that. You recall our mock combat the first time out at Castle, people really enjoyed it, but they said it was too dangerous and banned it the year after. I wonder if it was too dangerous when we flew them in small airport shows?

Next year, the Southern Cal Squadron will run its own Missing Man presentation. Just gotta get the rest of the group up to speed, (Scottdawg, and Sung), break in a possible new member (Henry), and send the last one to see the Wizard, and get some "nerve" (my Man Ron).

...ahem. Anyone else in that list?
BTW Ray, I was thinking that I would just go ahead and build my fw190 rather than finishing up the Seafury right now. I think I can get the fw ready to fly quicker (and I need a plane to fly).
Russ.
