Here's the cam set-up on my Slow-Stick plane. Had to work out the CG, but finally got it. It's still going to be a while before I can fly her...still recovering from my shoulder surgery.....can't wait though.

IT LOOKS GREAT, MARTY! That stick looks like it was made for it. Electric means no oil, exhaust heat, or fumes will mess up the camera. Not even spray from the lake, unless you get confused on what you are flying/floating! Take care!

Super job Marty. Looks great. However, I think you are asking for trouble using that set screw on the
pushrod for your tail surfaces. later daveo

Noted Daveo. I've used them on 1/4 scale boat rudders and throttle setups with no problem for years. Is there something I'm missing on this lite flyer? I do know that once they are taken off, you need to replace the compression washer to keep it a tight fit. HHmmm please let me know your thoughts.

The vibration on a plane is different. Using electric instead of glow has gotten rid of most of it but not all. If you nick a prop or get a build up of grass it can be way out of balance. Maybe I am to cautious, but I have seen the loss of two glow powered models in the last five years because the set screw let the rod slip. I use them on the throttle cable but thats it.
I know a lot of guys still use them and most have never had a failure. But how sick will you feel if you are the exception?
Z-bend pliars are cheap and easy to use. That's my cents. later daveo

I appreciate your concern and helpful response. I Loctite the set screws in as I have always done on my boats. You talk about vibration. Anyhow, will keep a real close eye on them. Thanks.
