Status: offline 		I've been given a SportJett 46 that's been sitting in storage all lonely for a year or so to put into a Diamond Dust that I'm building. While looking over it, I discovered it has the heli head. Will the extra surface area of the big head have any ill effects on this engine like keeping the head below operating temp causing extra wear? Also, if it's a heli version, is the optimum RPM range the same, or is it a little higher? Otherwise it looks good and ready to go..should be an interesting comparison; my last DDust had a MVVS GRRT 40 in it that went like hell. Am I right to expect even a little more blistering speed out of the Jett?

Thanks for writing... sorry for the delay in reply.

The Heli engine is only different in that the front end of the crankshaft is modified to allow the heli fan collets to be installed properly. And, as you noted, the larger head.

The larger head should not affect the performance in the DD. RPM range is the same as a standard SJ-46. Prop it so it turns over 17K rpm on the ground.......and life will be good
