Both of you guys can simply re read back in this forum for all the things you have asked. I have personally given the info that you both have asked for, NO offense meant but it would save time if people did that for all parties involved. The poster wouldnt need to wait for A answer and the person answering wouldnt have to waste time doing it again. But anyway I will repost. The most things broken depend on your driving style and if you drive on dirt or pavement. But most of the time the first things to replace are the A-arms with rpm not aluminum. The rear shock tower with aluminum, as well as the front bulk head. The front tower can be done as well but rpm will work just fine there. The rear snaps evertime you flip it backwards or land upside down on A jump, so it really needs to be done! The next thing is the turn buckles, get aluminum here as well. Front and rear. Next would be the aluminum out drives as the plastic just break every once in A awhile. Do not!!!! I repeat do not get A metal spur gear!!!! You want the weakest part of your drivetrain to be the easiest and cheapest thing to fix right???? Well for the rusty that is the spur gear. The tranny is not the strongest thing in the rusty and will give out if to much power is applied or slipper not set up right. Other than that she is pretty much indestructable! lol I know I spelled that wrong! But she is fast, will fly perfectly in the air, parts A plenty, and cheap as all to fix! So have fun!!!! Next the body,, Well all truck and buggy and truggy bodies are different, so The best thing you can do is get the body you want and make the thing work, post extenders are dirt cheap so who really cares if you have to buy them, I like the venom series as well as the post I did before, but many on here love the desert rat look,,, you decide what you like, and read back through, I cant stress this enough, There are tons of links in here about all the bodys and weak points of the rusty, just respect our time enough to ask A new question, not one thats been answered over and over again. I was new I did it to, but then when I started reading , I found I could find the answer and not have to wait to get an answer from anyone! Well all you in the internet land have A great day!!! Good luck guys!

Im a moron? Ok?

Try the search button in future. That is a VERY common question, you WILL find an answer, faster than youll get one one in here anyway!

Take that!! Mr Defensive..

yes sir but i won first in the main so its all good. man i love races in my backyard LOL made me about 18 dollars off bids lol but i was rapin those 2.5/.15 rustys and dominated the firestorm. only competition was my buddy reggies rc10gt or w/e its called the AE car.
but it turned out it was those sun adn planet gears i wish they made a hardened set of both. i would get the pro-ball but thats too much maintenance for me.

Ball diffs arent much work at all, Iv got them in all my mini's and all you have to do is tear them down every now and then, wipe them clean, and re grease. Waaay easier than changing gear diffs all the time!

so if i get one your right it wil be a normal that way i can do the upgrades only i want.

The ball diffs are great but for the cost and like he said maintainaceissues they can be bothersome. I agree the search engine in this forum is great!!!!! LOL But back to the other thing, I wish they made the hardened gears as well, they stripped all the time in my rusty, everytime I turned around I was replacing them! Most of the time it's when you try and go to fast over jumps and stuff, the best thing I found to cut back on it doing that is to keep the spur gear kinda loose not so much as to slow the take off, but enough to lighten the load on the rear end. By the way I sure wish i had A track in my back yard! I completely envy you! Well have fun out there !

yeah having a track is pretty good it didn't used to be that way though i just told my parents that i was sacraficing the backyard for an rc car track and in return i would do ther lawn mowing for free w/ weed eating and wat not. but yeah i am only 16 so its all good and yeah pro-ball not for me i can use the moeny for other things actually i think i am going to lock this diff. if i use 10.000 diff oil will that work as i do not want to completely lock it up.

Uh, you might be able to do that, But I highly recommend that you dont do it! I can actually mail you A rear that I locked that I have no use for... I sold my rusty so... But once installed you will up the breakage of your outdrives, as well as kill your turning ! Everytime you try and turn with the gas on, it will just go straight! But it is pretty cool for like rock crawling or muddin! Works so much better that way, I am 26 and own my house so I could build A track, but my love for my lawn and the air keep me from doing it. Well hope this helps, by the way, the thing most use in there diffs when locking, silly putty,,, or j-b weld. Not oil as it will just leak out. Ce ya

Well Guys, My Rusy is gone. All my RC''s are gone. We got burglarized last night and they took them all. I am, to say the least, brokenhearted. Keep your eyes open on evilbay and craigs list for me. they will be out of the Seattle area. The T-maxx has a Nova head and high output exhaust. The engine that is in the Rusty in my pics. It will have either a brown Bronco, Green '50 Chevy panel or orange 64 Impala body. My phone # is 425-330-0001, if you see the Maxx call me. The Rusty was still dirty with no engine and a beat up sport body. The 4-Tec had a intrepid body, white and pink. But they took all my other bodies too. The other T-maxx was apart and they didn''t get the rear susp. I have to pay my verizon bill on Wednsday to get my puter back online. I''ll talk to you then. Later My Friends.
