I disassembled the Integy shicks I have been having problrms with(I could not get any effective level of dampening regardless of oil weight) anyway, the piston has two 1.4mm holes. Normally this would be fine. The general idea is when you increase the diameter of the shock body you must increase the size of the holes in the piston as there is more fluid to displace per mm of piston movement. Well guess what, the Integy shocks are actaully SMALLER in diameter! Thats right the I.D. of the shock tube is noticebly smaller. And on top of this the shaft is larger! What does this mean? Well it means that for every mm of piston movement there is significantly less fluid thay must travel through the piston holes and you end up with very little resistance or "dampening". It was so significant that My MP7.5 would bottom out when dropped from only 14" rather than the several feet with the stock shocks. I have now reinstalled my "stockers" with 40wt oil and will stick with them till I find something better. What a joke!
