Hey,
I just bought the RS4 Evo and was wondering what the min. outside temperature should be to break it in. Everyone i ask is giving me a different answer. Obviously, i wouldnt break it in 5 degree weather, but it's supposed to be in the low to mid 40's here in Jersey later this week. would that be warm enough?

definately, I jus broke mine in here in Indiana in 30 degree weather, jus put foil over the head to keep the heat in when needed. Just make sure its always spitting fuel out the exaust!

yup, a mininum of of 3 layers of foil to keep the engine warm cause you can run an engine in 30 degree weather and it will never heat up which is neccesary for the break-in process. or (don't ask me if it really works) my friend broke in an engine with a body that didn't have the widows cut out.

yah the body just holds the heat in instead of venting, not as good as foil but it does the job better than nothing at all! My engine screams now, jus running a lower nitro content in the cold so it keeps lubed properly
