All,

I've just had my spy hawk delivered from Hong Kong and its come with a crappy mode 1 transmitter. I want to buy a mode 2 transmitter. Is this as straight forward as it seems or will i need to change servos, receiver etc? The one that came with it is a coloco 35mhz, the crystal is welded to the board!! (is that meant to be like that?)

I can't wait to fly this thing but I can't afford the £200 quid for a decent transmitter in my lhs, so I will get one off of e-bay. Just wanted to check that this will work. Do all tranmitters work with all receivers?

Also do you know where I could get a charger for the 9.6 v 700mhz that will plug into my mains (AC 240v) preferably with an auto cut off as they get bloody hot.

Thanks for all your help.

Rob.

I'm not familiar with the coloco, but can't you just move stuff (servo's) around on the receiver so they will work on what ever stick you want them to. Just unplug everything from the receiver except the battery and just plug one thing in at a time in each channel till you find the channel (stick) you want. Make sure you take your main blades off before doing this.

Sure will, just make sure you get the same crystal for the radio that is in the receiver (35mhz)
