Hello,

I have a couple questions about shimming areas on the inferno. I have play in the rear A-Arms. The arms move back and forth on
the inner pins a noticeable amount. Should I shim this with a washer (or is there supposed to be this play?), and if so, what type of washer should I use? Plastic? Metal (will the metal cause unnecessary wear?)? Is this a hardware store item or hobby shop item?

Also, my servo saver (left hand side) has some play- it moves up and down. Again, plastic, metal, (or an extra servo saver bronze bushing - i have switched to the k2 setup with bearings) or leave it alone?

I really want to build this right, but don't want to remove the play if it is supposed to be there.

Thanks,

Brett

I once heard a racer at our track talking to another racer at the track about this very same thing. I think his exactly words were "you'd go broke before you took all the play out". He seemed to make it sound like not such a big deal that there was play in the wheels and such.

I personally don't know, however. *shrug*

just get some washers and shim it, if the washers arent really tight it shouldnt wear the pins.
