Hey all,

I'm workin on a top-flite spitfire, and i'm trying to decide which engine to stick in it. The engine will be inverted so the cowl doesn't get torn apart and I was thinking that since it will be inverted, a fuel pump would probably be a wise investment. I currently have a saito80 that i'm not using and was thinking about using it, so I don't have to buy a new engine, but I want a little more 'mmmphf'. I'm flying close to a mile up and need a little bit more power up there (amazing how much difference it makes!). Was thinking maybe a OS91w/pump or 120w/pump. Wanna stick with a 4-stroker... love the sound

Also, I will probably end up puting a graupner 3-blade on it, the model will probably end up weighing around 10-11 pounds.

Thanks for the advice, happy flying.

The YS .91 would be a perfect match for this plane. With the YS pressurization system, tank location is no longer critical. If funds allow, the YS 1.20 would be even better.

hi apt, the 91 pulls my 14lb dynaflite with authority. considerably cheaper then the 120 too....but nothin wrong with the 120
also spits are hard to cool engine...give it lots of thought while building. i ended up putting a ply scoop/baffle on bottom of cowl to keep engine cool. i have pics if yur interested

I used an OS .91 surpass. The tank sits about 2 " behind the engine on the same level, so a pump may not be needed.
