Chris

I have to ask...how is it that a 14 year old can afford all of these planes?

Chris..

Do not run a cheap servo on the throttle. You will regret it. The throttle is just as important as any other control on the aircraft. While you don't need a lot of power here, you DO need precision and reliability.

Sounds great! If you can, please weight the fuse, canopy and engine hatch before you begin to work on it. I am very curious how that weight compares to the PL, ZN stuff.

Thanks! And have fun.

I am not the type to promise you anything. I would take a plane of this caliber and expose it to as many fliers possible. We would have a nice video of the plane showing in between flights while the new plane would be displayed at our trailer for fliers to look at. Of course we would need more of these to carry with us as I am sure we could sell a fair amount for you. What more could you ask for?? How many would we need to buy to get a break on pricing? Thanks for your time. Does this plane fly as well as it looks???

For non digital aileron servos, the Futaba 9101's are hard to beat. I use them on ailerons in my Zen 90. Servo City is out of stock right now, but their prices are hard to beat.

If it was me and on a budget.
3m 140 instead of the 170 savings $166
3m aluminum instead of ES 80
If you don't already have the charger
regulator and tester for the duralites
1100 Nicd or 1000 NiMH all the
standard charger and tester, no reg 152
total savings $398

Buy better servos don't have to be the best but better Doug made a good point on the JR's.
and buy more fuel.

If you are on a tight budget, spend the $$ on the best servos you can afford. Skimp somewhere else. Cheap servos can make a really nice plane fly like poop.

Ya I am trying to get good servos but even with the other cheaper end stuff i still dont have alot left over but i will get atleast good sevos. BTW i looked a the 9101 it is $50 for a servo with less torque and speed than alot cheaper servo.....i have some 9001's though and theyre ok.

There are often good used JR 4131 servos on this page's market and on Ebay. I just replaced the 9101 aileron servos in my 2M with JR 4131 servos and got a noticeable difference in the "feel". I am very happy with it. The 9101s will now go in my 60 size ship.

Servos are the link between your fingers and the physical reality of what goes on up there.
Don't Skimp on any of the servos. Take the time and save for the better servos. I know its overkill, but I run hitec 5945's on the elevator & rudder, with 5925's on the ailerons, this on a seduction freestyle (45 size). The way I see it, in pattern you want the servos doing exactly what you say when you say. Ie no blowback, and fast response time. You can never have too much speed, torque or accuracy.
Just look at the sort of servo's CPLR runs in a fun fly!!!!!! There's the story right there!!!!
