I'm thinking about buying a tc3 and i don't know if i should buy it as a kit or rtr?

What will i need to buy if i buy the tc3 as in a kit?

I heard that the screws under the tc3 are bad is that true?

The kit requires you to buy a radio engine and a body. The rtr comes with everything. If you are not going to race too competetivly (sp?) I would just get the rtr and a 2 speed.

Get the kit you'll be happier in the end. The kit requires a TX, RX, 2 servos, 8AA for the TX and a reciever batter pack or 4AA for the RX, engine, fuel, and a body.

I like the Novarossi and RB engines. Get any .12 3 port engine if you plan on racing. 5 port engines are harder to tune, and are not ROAR legal. Right now I'm using the Mugen MT 12 in my NTC3 and am very happy with its performance.

the screws are absolutely crap it's true, I just ordered some stainless steel ones for £15 though so see how they go or you can get titanium ones if you have the ££££

the screws that come with the kit arnt so bad. its the allen drivers. if you have a good set of tools, the stock screws are fine. what are your intentions with the car? racing or bashing? that is a big factor in deciding on an engine. Also - what is your budget? the engines you list - some are less than a 100.00 others are over 300.00

if u plan on racing, some of the best race engines under 150 are the Mugen MT12, OS .12TR, and Sirio .12TRP
