Try www.rcpics.net . They should have several vids of some hypers. I know dagass just recently posted a vid of his. But what exactly do you mean "lumpy"? You mean kind of sputtery? Because the makes me think you could lean it up a bit if it's running that rich.

hi by lumpy i mean low rpm and nearly stalls when full throtle is put on and goes about 20mph
but i am just at the stage where you lean it slowly out for performance.
my lhs sold me 10% nitro fule because he said it would run right but the engine temperatere dose not get near 150 degrees

Thanks

10% I am thinking the guy at your lhs doesnt know what he is talking about. You should run the same fuel in your car as you would if the engine was broken in. In most cases this would be 20-25%. Plus if your engine is only getting near 150 degrees, its not getting hot enough for a proper break in. How many tanks of the 10% have you ran thru? Also the stock settings that ofna says use for breakin are way to rich. With stock settings I couldnt get my hyper to even move hardly. It doesnt hurt to lean your car out during breakin as long as it stays at the minimum recommended temperature.

Ok good. I definately recommend switching to a higher nitro%(around 20-25). You can go thirty but it really isnt nessessary unless you are looking to race a lot. Buy yourself a a decent temp gun like a raytec (I think you said you had one) and take your car out and get the car running around 220 if you are still in the breakin process. But it sounds like you are already thru that. But to make sure just run a couple more takes on the new fuel. If it is sputtering at top speed after that then start to lean out the high and low speed until you reach a decent running temp. Around 240 is good but its recommended not to go any higher than 280 I think. Most people I have talked to find that setting the low speed needel flush is a good starting point after breakin. It worked for me and it might work for you. Good luck and have fun.

Go about 1/8th a turn at a time. Give it about 15 sec for the change to show and then take the temp. Keep going untill your happy with the results your engine is doing or until your reach the right temperature.

hey hyper

i have the hyper 8 port and had the same problems. if you find yourself leaning it out more than 1.5 turns open youll find you have a shoddy carb. its common with the hypers. After months of frustration and endless neddle setting adventures decided to get a new carb and pipe. I got an RB Concepts carb and an RB Concepts o86 pipe with an extended header. Talk about a wake up ! the difference is worlds apart. the pipe with long header wakes up the low and mid range of the hyper and the carb just works so smoothely. havent had to touch the carb from factory settings. Im in love all over again ...

OZ is right get a new carb and a pipe and you will feel like your driving a completely different car. I have the 063 pipe with the stock car which I did a little repair work too and it runs great. I will be getting the OS carb for it because I heard it gives it a little more throttle response. Also you can tell Hyper hasnt touched the low speed needel any because he has almost no take off speed and it almost dies when he gives it thottle. Lean it up a little and watch it fly. Great job on the first video by the way. Second had a little distortion to it dont know if it was me though.
