I was thinking about buying the Sirius Limited charger since I can charge 2 large Nimh batteries at the same time. But then I found a couple of threads indicating that the Super Turbo by Dymond is supposed to be the non plus ultra out there. So what's the deal ?
Which one is really better ? Can I charge 2 batteries with the ST ? Can I charge my rx & tx at same time with the ST ? Which charges faster I know that the Sirius Limited only charges rx, but I still have my old sirius plus I can use.
As usual, any input will be greatly appreciated.

The ST only charges one pack at a time.

Another big difference is the Sirius Limited charges with "peak predict" circuitry and the Super Turbo is a "peak detect" type system. The peak predict (the Sirius) stands a better chance of charging consistantly with no false peaks because that is not how it works. It charges at a 2 amp rate and the Super Turbo is adjustable, so it is feasable that the ST could charge faster, but you usually don't want to go over 2 amps anyway as the wiring will not stand much higher current.

Then go with the Sirius.............if you want a more veristal all around charger I would go with the ST. It is a fast charger...so you can charge two packs one after the other in quick order. The post above is correct about the amperage. You can charge at five amps but you have to make sure your wiring can take the current.

If your using large mah rx and tx packs then you wouldnt want to charge them above 2amp and maybe not that high. I wont go above 1am with standard battery pack wiring. If your charging flight packs for a electric motor they will come with heavy wiring allowing you to charge in the 4 to 5 amp range safely.

You can almost get two superturbo's for the price of one unlimited. Get two then youve got slow, fast and everything in between. You can cycle your packs and charge one to 26 cells including some of your power tool packs. I charge all my digital camera batteries with the super turbo.

They are easy to program and so far are holding up quality wise.

You have to make the choice.

I have a Sirius Pro.........which works fine but it only does rx and tx packs.

Just my two cents.
