I was driving my RS4 2 yester day and it went out of range, straight into a rather deep puddle.
I think the servos are ok but the engine is full of water, i tried to get most of the water out and need to know what else to before i run it again.
any suggestions would be appericated, thanks

Quickly pull the whole engine apart and wipe each peice with paper towel. Your main problems are the bearings, they rust easily in days. Give each bearing a shot of WD-40 and you should be ok. Did and dirt get in the engine too?

I'd recommend using WD-40 first because it displaces any water. Thats what the WD in WD-40 stands for, Water Displacment. you can use some thicker oils after but WD-40 is what you should use first.

You shouldn't use silicon products in your engine, they can damage the rubber seals

you should use marvel mistery oil, wd-40 is great to clean outthe motor but not to lube it.. also after run oil would work.. marvel is easier to come by and cheaper, also what works well is 3 in one oil.. but does not burn off as easy as marvel.
