Does anyone ACTUALLY know if the Litco company *really* exists? People have Litco chargers, but has anyone ACTUALLY PURCHASED A LITCO CHARGER RECENTLY????
I have sent email orders every 5 months (every time the ordering opens) for the last three years AND HAVE NEVER HEARD A REPLY. I don't think they exist, just a scam. They made chargers at one time because people have them. They just don't make them anymore.

Ever noticed that they say on their website that they don't have time to answer order emails?

Well..........the ordering process opens again in April. How many suckers are going to send emails?????????

I now what you mean! I have an earlier model I purchased over ten years ago.(different than what there selling now but it still works fine) And it took about three months to get that one. His ordering instructions are pretty explicit and harsh I'd say. Must be a one or two man operation.
Have you seen Clifford Begnards' review of the Alpha?

Yes they exist and yes I bought one recently (just received it a couple weeks ago)... and yes they are hard to deal with... and yes for what they do, they are worth it.... and yes, this has been batted around before.

Instead of wasting your breath here, maybe reading the instructions on the charger nazis website would allow you to understand why they choose to do business this way. Or better yet, if you don't like the way a company does business, take it elsewhere.

Its a great charger for people with many aircraft that they like to fly all on the same day. but there are other chargers that can do basically the same things. Miniron, Schulze...

Now why did you have to go and do that? We like to keep things civil here. PM your fax number and I'll fax you a copy of the receipt when I get home.

I bought two of them last year. They are the best chargers I've ever had. Nothing else is even close. And I've had the Schulze and many others. Been in R/C for over fifty years.

I've gotten 4 of them over the last two years. I actually just let my last order number lapse. I have one that I still use for overnight charging but have 2 Orbit V6's for fast charging and lithiums.

Well.............sorry I started this thread. I should have done more research into the Litco Alpha 4 before I got bent out of shape about not being able to buy one.

The Litco Alpha 4 only has a 1 amp charge max! Good thing I didn't accidentally buy one!

Sorry..........I will do more research before posting next time.

I have used an Alpha 4 since they first came on the market - yes, many, many moons ago.

I have bought and sold a lot of RC gear over the past 18 years and the Alpha 4 is the ONE item I will never part with. Had lots of offers. The answer is "NO!"

Besides RC, I charge lots of batteries for every day use (camera, games, flashlights, etc...). Bought bulk AAA, AA, C, and D batteries off of ebay and have saved a ton of money NOT buying one time use batteries.

Get rid of Aplha 4 - over my dead body!

IMHO it's worth the wait.

Regards,

If you're mainly flying helicopters, you don't want to accidentally get one. There are many other offerings that will be better suited for that application. But, if you fly giant scale or jets and need to turn around 6 or 8 batteries in a night, the Alpha 4 is very hard to beat, and is exactly why the Alphas are in very high demand. Although, with the Miniron Mobil entering the scene, there may be a better alternative on the horizon.

Orinoco charger from Aareva should be the one to get when they finally release it. It is the one I have my Eye on.
