Hi guys,
I'm so glad to see this forum, I've flown RC for 24 years and last year got my PPL and bought a Grumman Cheetah. I put 170 hours on it since June 2003. It's been a real blast. I've flown into one RC event in Bryson City, NC, with my RC planes along, it was a blast. Anyone know any full-scale friendly RC events around NC? I've attached a pic of my Cheetah.

Hello Tom, Was it the fall fun fly you flew into?? If so I was there. The Joe Nall has full scale planes come in & land. Most of them are there for some kinda show but if you contacted them they might let you fly in & land to enjoy the event. there RC runway is some where around 5000 ft. Last year there were 4 AT-6's, The Kline Tools Extra 300 & Matt Chapman in his Cap 232 (he's there every year). They put on daily shows for the RC'ers. Here is the link to there web site. http://www.joenall.com/ You can contact them there. By the way it is in Woodruff S.C. ( not far from Greenville)

Yes, it was the fall event in Bryson City I flew into. That was a memorable day. I want to come back for your next event, when will that be?
The Joe Nall event doesn't allow general aviation besides the show performers, I asked last year. Too bad, that would sure be nice.

Yes I remember Ken, he had the RC skydivers there. They were fun to watch, even when the chute didn't open once. I'll email him.
