Status: offline 		The G90 is a ringed engine, not sure about the 108. I now have about 3/4 of a gallon of fuel through the G90 and boy are they time consuming to break in. Run 2-4 min rich, shut down, cool down, run another 2-4 etc...

Don't discount 4 strokes, because you have one bad one. There really is no contest to the ability of a 4 stroke to swing a larger prop, generate more low end thrust, and offer more torque. Don't give up you will not be disappointed.

Let us know how that 91 fairs.

Status: offline 		I like the .91 very much.... I'm looking forward to doing a .60 size bird for it..... Something with a 54" wing span comming in around 6 lbs...

But IMHO.... for a .40 size profile... It's hard to beat a 2 stroke for performance...

PPPLLLEEEAAASSSSEEEEE hurry up with the .60 size profile! I've a Saito .91 just begging for one. Your designs are proven winners and I have no doubt it would be a great plane to have.

What do you think about a one piece design with no removable wings??

You do have good designs.

I prefer one piece. I like to grab and go. I have an OMP GS540 and I leave the wings on it (80"). I set the wheels on my tool box and wings hang over my truck bed sides a bit. I tape the control surfaces down, tie the plane and away I go. I get some strange looks driving down the road, but that is fine. Seems like wing tubes on profiles have a tendency to wallo out after time. Support is not as wide as a full fuse and the tube moves. Especially if you do not put both wings on at the same time.

Status: offline 		A .60 size one piece would be about the max size I could get in the back of my truck. The OMP Yak won't quite fit when assembled, but a 52"-56" span would be good. How 'bout some more info on the MoJo?

Status: offline 		The MoJo is gonna have a quad tapered wing.... 46" wing span with a CF tube in the fuse.... Gonna have an "extra" looking profile fuse and lots of throw... Probably going to put the servo's in the tail. I'm gonna have a set of ribs and motor pod for the proto pretty quick...

Just coming out of a nice hover about to test my skills in a rolling harrier, when all of a sudden I notice the rudder depart from the virtical stab and dangle by the control rod off the back of the plane. Not sure how I was able to keep it stable while doing a perfect landing but on a closer view I noticed right way I had used the wrong hinges.

All four CA hinges ripped in half, I'll be replacing them this evening with pin hinges. I've read post here on RCU concering CA hinges failing but never gave it much thought.

Status: offline 		We've noticed here at OMP that extreme abuse of your rudders doing the "9" will put stress on the hinges - even nylon hinges. I always use the pin hinges on anything bigger than a 40 size profile.
