Status: offline 		Ahh just got my MT2 broke it in... and took to the races... Wow stock and runing rich I got 1st, in the 1st qualify, 3rd in the 2nd qualify and 4th in the MAIN... WoW impressive truck was handeling like a dream compared to the 2wd's... I need suggestions on shocks they do SUCK I see some of you guys going to 30-40wt. give me comments on what you have and what you tried.... what can I do to prevent this stripping of the gears? hehe now that I got 10 tanks through it im gonna start leaning it out cant wait to see the guys Jaws drop! I imagine that the truck will not be as fast as a losi or GT but man im going high and fast in corners and making my passes.

Status: offline 		In the manual they quote the oil as being 30w, but I do not think that is true. The oil seems to be much thicker than that, so I dumped mine and refilled them with 30w and the seems to work better. On compression the rear would be very stiff, the truck would try and flip ends on a good jump. The change in oil and removing one pretensioner from the rear has seemed to help.

I think the standard shocks are more than adequate. They just need some fine tuning.

Status: offline 		Sadly i didn't hit anything i'm repairing the differentials...yup they stripped but i think i'm glad - i just ordered some for free! it came today and i got some diff. lube from my lhs and am now repairing it. It should be good as new for tomorrow. Soon after bashing the hell out of it i'll switch to some 35w (low on cash at the moment ) then i'm going to add some fuel line to the bulkhead - it's really!!! scratched and then replace the old fuel line with purple lines - just for fun . So thats what iv'e got in store for this BEAST! It's a great truck - i'm not into racing (never been) soon i hope to go racing - i'm trying to get a hold of the how the truck works. I'm a king noob to nitro RC so this is my training truck. I have one question - how much (an estimate) do aluminum parts cost - i.e A-arms?

Status: offline 		I can't say how fast, maybe 30 mph, but it handles great. I love mine and have found it to be a very durable truck. It was extremely easy to break in and easy to keep tuned. I have 10 tanks through it and have not needed a single thing.

I have a NItro Stampede and it is night and day with the two trucks. The MT hooks up so quick, because of the 4wd, and can power through a corner.

I think it is the best 4wd stadium truck out there.

Status: offline 		I have the need for speed and I purchased a Picco 15, all I need now is the correct exhaust manifold/header. Does anyone have any ideas? Its a round 12.5mm OD side exhaust.

Status: offline 		Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the fuel tank leaking? At first I thought that it was me spilling fuel everywhere, but now it leaks worse that before. Also my engine will not stay idling because of no tank pressure. Does anyone think I am correct?

Status: offline 		Hey Superscott I have not had that problem, but I would check the fuel line. They run it very close to the cross over handle and I could see that being a pinch point.

I was wondering if anyone has the part number for the washers that fit in the differencials that fit behind the pinion gear. Someone posted them once on another thread, I wrote it dow and lost it. I know the part was available on the MT. There seems to be too much play, I really haven't had a problem, but they looked like they might help.

Status: offline 		My understanding is that numbers mean nothing across different brands, as they don't all conform to the same standard. So a McCoy 8 might be fine, or it might not. Kind of a crappy situation!

Status: offline 		I bought a better aircleaner. The stock one seemed to be crappy.

I also upgraded my radio and universals for the front.

Other than that the truck runs great and I haven't needed to upgrade anything.

Status: offline 		I put a Motor Saver on mine. Seems like the best one out there.

Those ones with the paper filter element are being touted as the best, but I'm not convinced. I had this Motor Saver on my grandson's Rush, and its double foam element sure grabs a lot of grit & crud.

Easy to clean & re-oil, too.

Here is a list with Tower ad-numbers to bulletproof your differentials. Enjoy.

Good question. Who knows? Who cares? Its a fun truck, and yes, I agree it is more of a stadium truck than a monster truck. But when the T-Maxxs and Savages are either flipping over or having to slow way down to make a turn, the MT2 is powering through turns as sharp as you can make them.

I got bored with my NMT2 stock 15 motor, so I stuck a 21 big block in from my Savage 21. Had great fun destroying the car, then got bored with that so stuck 26 pico in - went like a bat out of hell! - only drawback is that couldn't get over half throttle as it would start to wheelie (crash!!!)

So with a bit of common sense, went out and bought the 18 SS engine - now running in!
