I tried to keep it at 250, but got as high as 300.

Didn't seem to hurt it.

Keep the gas on. The wheels act like gyros - basic jumping.

Gas on - Brings front up
Brake on - Pitch front down
Turn left gas on - Turns truck to left in air brings front up
Turn right gas on - Turns the truck to the right in air brings front up

I am guessing that when you hit a jump the truck gets in the air, you get nervous hit the brakes, the trucks front end points to the ground - then somersaults. Why do I know this? Because I did the same thing a million times untill I learned to either one) not hit the breaks or two) work the gas or brake to fix the in air problem.

Maybe you have been running into other problems.

Hey I just installed my carbon fiber goodies!!!

You'll have to respond and tell me if the pipe is worth the dough.

They sure look tough.

The great thing about the NMT2 is the center spur gear. It runs a savage spur gear which makes it easier for me to replace. I have the original NMT, and I swapped out the center Slipper clutches. This is because I'm running a .21 engine. I thought the savage spur gear might last longer, apparently not. So Now I got a steel savage spur gear sitting in it. Turn buckles the whole works. Soon, I shall be doing a top speed analysis of my truck and I'll get back to you.

How hard was it to put in your .21 in your NMT2?

Sounds like it would be fairly fast.

Hi!

I have a Hpi mt2 (taht you can see here) and i'm really happy with it.

i don't really like the mt2 hpi bodies so I wanted to know if some of you ever tried to fit something different like:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000574087&I=LXAJG3&P=K

if you want to mount it what i did was i got a paper clip and put it thru the hole of the pipe and twisted the wire around the hole so it wouldn't come off then i made a circle and i screwed the screw thru it to that pipe holder thing and it stays on i'll post a pic when i get it

I have the same problem. Everytime I hit the brakes it closes the carb and kills the engine. I found that taking the soft rubber spacer on the brake adjustment and replacing it with a more solid piece works a little better but did not totally solve my problems. With a solid plastic piece there I can hit the brakes, but not fully slam on them or it will die. I'm still tinkering with the brake and carb adjustments to get them right.

First question:

Do you have the stock servos?

If you do, then set the servo to middle trim. Turn your radio on. Take the servo horn off and turn it untill you get the carb closed. Done. Reset your idle screw (one on the front of the carb)

If you do not. Cut the servo horn for non HPI servos - It is much longer. Do the same steps above.

Hope this helps
