Marcus ... would be tempted to get the smaller Yak ... how much do you think it would cost inclusive of shipping?

tIANci,

The 68" yak would cost at least USD100 for shipping...I assume. Include the tax + duty = 10% + 5%....the price is really high about RM 2000 !!

Regards
Marcus

Marcus ... there is NO tax for HOBBY items at all ... THIS IS NOT A TOY, please go check on this, you will save $$$. Alternatively, you can say its an aeroplane under 2,000 kgs ... that is also not taxable.

I did the maiden flight for my Raven this morning. The plane was set up a little nose heavy. The plane flies very nice!!! All that talk about the plane being not flyable is inaccurate. With some wash out on the ailerons the plane is so sweet to land. Take offs were easy, she lifts off on her own with little elevator input. Inverted flight was with just a little pressure on the elevator.

I mean the same was told to me about the Black Horse Sukhoi but when I flew it the plane was nice. I am not that great a flyer but I think with some proper set up and research planes are all flyable.

tIANci,

Please tell me more! What do you write SPECIFICALLY on the invoice to avoid the taxes? I'm very interested!

Thank you!

Sigh ... I said hobby right, so you just put on the invoice something like Hobby RC Plane la ... easy or not? Then when you have problems with the Cusotms, ask them to prove what they are taxing you under and ask them about hobby.

Is the tariff in force for their respective APEC members for all imports or just imports from APEC member countries?

Dunno. If you ask Customs for an electronic list of tariffs, they ask you to go there.
Guess they use this.

Cannot find hobby but look under tariff code 9503.
