and no need to travel far ..no need big field...RC boating can be in swiming pool or just the drain bside the house....

If you are talking about nitro or gas 26cc rc boating, you will need a pond as big as a flying field..

Swimming pools and drains are meant for rubber duckies...

X-man, but RC submarine, amphibous tank can fit into drain...even my 26cc petrol ms budweiser can race in big drain...just straight line drag race...

Fyooi, you should consider a train set.
Playing in the drain is dangerous, don't know what kind of disease, one might pick up from the drained water.
