Tianci,
Wouldn't it be better to have a seperate battery for RX? My plan is, the LiPo/LiOn battery is only for the motor, RX battery for the servos and receiver.
On the motor, until now I still dont really understand the kV...the higher the better or should it be lower? Should it be direct drive or gear-driven?
I've checked with Rotor and I think can get equivalent motor from them.

Ooi ... why buy from Singapore la? You can get the ESC and motor from NTC, save on shipping. Why carry the extra weight of the RX batt when the ESC can supply it? Why have another extra connection? Why have another potential point of failure? A UBEC was built for this reason. As for KV its not higher or lower better, it depends on use (torque or speed), size of motor (bigger motors tend to go lower in KV), how many cells you want to use (more cells lower the KV and vice versa). So the best way is tell us what plane you want to fly and we tell you what to get if not this will go on and on and on and on ... like the SIRIM stamp issue.

Go with an outrunner, not geared system. Why? Just trust us la ...

Fyooi....Are you try to MAT REMPITTING a Zero on electrics? hahahaha....

I can tell you this much,
Electric conversions is a whole new ball game... when compared to your typical nitro installations
Too much calculations involved, mix and matching the prop to motor to esc to batt.
If any of those these main things (Batt , ESC -have to be Lipo or LiOn compatible, prop & Motor) you do not get it right...,

You will end up with a good portable smoke machine.... c/w the pyrotechnic effects...
