Hi Benson,

It's me Dayan. You fly in Puchong with Din right? Pls bring as many fliers as you want. Maybe you guys can sign up for the MAC2 at the same time!

Selangor Polo club is located about 2 clicks from the existing Sungai Buloh flying field. Assuming you are coming from the LDP...

1. Turn Left after 1 Utama old building and new building
2. Head towards Damansara Perdana
3. After #1 above, IKEA,Tesco and Power Center would be on your right hand side
4. Follow the road for about 3 clicks till you reach a set of lights
5. Turn right at the lights
6. You will see shop house on your right (and a big mamak, PADANG KOTA)
7. Go straight for 2 clicks till you reach another set of lights
8. Make a your turn and turn left straight into the club gates

Just before #7, you will see the polo field on your right already.

See you there! Sorry, don't want to publish my mobile number here. You can get my office contact from www.myrcstore.com

I am very surprised to see that there is still a charge for spectators to attend this event. I think most people would rather spend that kind of money going to a place like Sunway lagoon, or something, where their kids can actually do something instead of just watching. Its going to be kind of sad for the hobby shops, as they will loose out on potential new fliers. Also, doesnt seem to be much publicity for the general public to inform them about this event.

Its disappointing thats this is happening, as this event would be a great way of generating public interest in the hobby, which I thought was the whole point.

Hi there,

Unfortuntely, the venue is not free and is costing a fair amount of money. I guess the one's that are really keen on coming into this hobby would not mind paying such a small amount to find out more before they invest a few grand!

As for publicity, not too worry, we were at BKEC this morning doing vdo shoots for the tv advertisement which will be coming out on Astro soon as they are one of the primary sponsors for MAC2. So far, the response has been overwhelming! Hope to see more of you guys there! The more the merrier!

Don't forget to sign up for the dinner too guys...I heard the food there is a great! A new event has been added to the fun fly competition, check it out on http://www.rcmalaysia.com/mac_ii/mac2_competition.php ...then sign up!!

Ciao.

Well ... Rm5 is not that much to most people nowadays, also that will not be enough for an entry into Sunway Lagoon for sure. Look at things like Disney on Ice, it costs a bomb but it sells out. What is important is the A&P, but on this one there is very little. ASTRO is not enough ... you need print media of which costs a lot unfortunately. Then you need to do flyers also and posters at malls etc. All this takes a lot of money. What is really important now is the content too ... hope that the general spectators will have a good time.

Yeah Tianci...unfortunately eveything costs money and most people want this event for free...so apa macam? The only way to make this event successful is to do the best we can in spreading the "gospel" and for more flyers to take part...which in turn will give spectators something to see and enjoy. Will you be at the Selangor Polo Club this weekend? Bring the gf(s) along...club facilities are free for the day partners and kids.

Other than Astro, I think Pusat Sains Negara is also advertising this event to all their visitors.

Things cannot be free all the time, RM5 is most reasonable if the kids go back very happy and the place has enough activities to keep them occupied. Yes, I will go to the Polo Club, what time exactly? Need to run in an engine so I may be at the flying site first and then go over to the club. Is there a website for the club? Wanna see it first.

Looks like plane kakis are not very active in forums, we started a RC car forum in rctech.net and we grow at about 3 pages a day! That is about 50-60 postings. Guess Malaysian Flyer is correct, there will be no support. MF ... when is your Sukhoi going up? Mine is next week.
