Hi all

I manage to borrow a digital camera for 1 week. So here is my modified GWS Dragonfly. I know it is not the prettiest and in serious need of paint job.

Himax 2015-4100, 12 tooth pinion
Hornet cf blades...custom pitch(read: I busted them... )
csm hlg 200 gyro
direct drive tail, 3x2 prop.
berg 4ch Rx
1200mah 1200 e-tech 2s
I'll soon have a G-10 under carriage on this bird. I'll be cutting one myself. Tired of the cf assembly and gear legs.

Hi Charlie

What is wrong with your canopy? All u need to do is paint job and replace to a retractable wheels.

If you don't want your canopy, give it to me.

AtomHeartMother... What is G-10? And... your chopper looks pretty. Is your canopy windshield black color original or you painted black?

The windshield is painted black.
It was an oem feda dragonfly canopy. I just took the stickers off and started painting.
G-10 is a fiberglass epoxy material. It can be had in rods, tubes and sheets, much like carbon fiber.
I found a source for some relatively cheap G-10 sheet in varying thicknesses here in the states.
I'll be using .047 g-10 for my lower frame(3/64ths I believe, english measurement).
I really like the purple, but it is harder to keep orientation when I'm outside during fast forward flight. My next canopy will be lighter in color with greater contrast.

Here are a few shots of my setup. Im using seperates I have a Pixie7p for the main and GWS 100 on the tail. I use two lithium polymer packs. They give lots of air time. Its actually to long for these motors to cope with. Im going to start taking breaks every 10 mins for the motor to cool.
