I have in mind to build a WWI twin bomber, like a Gotha G series or a Caudron R series. Anyone aware of a good set of plans in the 1/10 to 1/12 range? Thanks, Mike

Mike,
I too am seriously considering building a WW1 twin. I my case it's the AEG GIV. I'm drawing my own plans for it in about 1/5 scale for two weedie conversions.
Squadron Signals pub. has an "in action" book on WW1 German bombers with good drawings and pictures. They might have one for other countries, too. You might check the British magazines for plans or Bob Holman might have something.
If you can get hold of the video "LaFerte 2000" there's an absolutely gorgeous Zeppelin bomber towards the end of the tape. It has push pull engines. I got the tape from SKS or Propwash.

Thanks Jim, I have a three view for the Caudron in a book. I want to limit it to two electric motors. I did not think of it before, but I could go with a viermot and only power to engines. The Caudron has a 20 meter ws, at 1/12 that's about 60 inches. Two Astro 25's? I can build light. Mike

At 60" a pair of 035G or 05G motors would work just fine. I figure on about 3 - 4lb for an empty airframe that size. Start with the wing area. What is it?
