Has anyone made a slope-soarer out of fan-fold or pink foam? Cash is tight, but I've got an old Futaba Attack-4 radio (no mixing and full-sized servos, but at least 4-channel AM rx's aren't quite as heavy as their 7ch fm counterparts). I'm hoping maybe I can put something together on the cheap that will get me out on the slopes sooner rather than later!

thanks,
Rick Lindsey

The Santa Barbara Slopers are some of the most active in sloping. I'm sure they can point you in the right direction. http://www.sbslopers.org/

I haven't tried these yet, but they are on my short list.

I hava a panther flying. IT does quite well as a thermaler. I have a floyd kit waiting, but I really bought it before I thought about my limited flying sites for slope and never finished it off.

I think the panther is a great option as you can do iether with the larger wing area. It is very durable and forgiving on less than prfect landings.

Rick,

This is probably too late to be useful, but here's a place that manufactures two lightweight slopers for $30 each. The wing is good for 3 mph winds, and the sleek one is fast.
