New .32 sx 50+oz cool power 15/18 +4 oz klotz 100% syn. fuel through it. Drainage from the muffler is light carmel colored --runs great. No more cool power at the LH, only Wildcat 20/18 100% syn. Heli fuel. Calculating 3% castor I added 4 oz. Ran it tonight a little rich, I thought. --Peak, back off till I hear a diff, piont straight up leans just a bit --go fly. Practicing touch and goes, got a big gust of wind I over corrected, which pointed the nose 70 deg up --full throttle spurt, sputter, stall ---- smashed the nose into the palmettos. Upon inspection, I noticed the drainage from the pipe was dark carmel in color, brown. Is this to be expected? I've never seen it anything but tan light carmel colored. It wasn't blubbery rich. Never used castor, or wildcat fuel.
Did I just put a million miles on my engine?
Thanks,
--Rick

No-one has any idea? What color is the fluid that drips out of the muffler and on to the back seat of your car?

Depends on engine, fuel, needle setting, etc, etc.

My ST G60 Blue Head with pipe on FAI 80:20, the exhaust oil is as close to dammit, BLACK! Makes great stains...

The oil out of mine are usually a light tan color - put a white piece of paper towel at the output of the muffler while the engine is running. It is true that the type of muffler and how the engine is tuned changes the color some. Also, the amount of castor in the fuel makes a difference. However, if it is black, it often means the muffler is rubbing on the exhaust port - a gasket will usually eliminate this. Internal wear will cause a black exhaust.
