Hey Mike,

im glad to see there is someone from an actual RC MFG company here to answer questions.. thats awesome. anyways.. on to my questions

1) can you give me the specs on the models HS-80 and HS-101 servos? i cant seem to find them anywhere.

and
2) i have noticed that the Hitec and Anti-Hitec community is strongly devided.. i mean i see people that either love Hitec equip or HATE Hitec. personally, i have found my hitec servos to be just as reliable as any Futaba or Airtronics that i have owned.. and because of that, i am strongly considering Hitec for my next big radio purchase. My question to you is, in your opinion, what do you think causes such a strong divison among modellers when it comes to Hitec, and do you think that Hitec is deserving of the bad name that some modellers give it?

thank you in advance for your answers.. and just so you know this is in NO way meant to put you on the spot and whatnot.. im just curious.

ty.

GC,

Have you even seen the Calvin stickers people put on their cars? This is the same as the Ford vs Chevy or Mercedes vs BMW debates.

The HS-80 (.14@32in/oz) HS-101 (.20@25in/oz)

I personally think the people that don't like (hate) Hitec haven't used our products lately or are just hypocritical. Some will just bad mouth something because they don't use it, therefore what they use is the best and everything else is cr@p.

Read the posts of people here and on other BB's like ezonemag.com and you will see that the Hitec users are very satisfied. Once you do jump on board you will stay here because of the quality, service and price; I guarantee it!

Seriously... I will put our products and service up against anyone any day of the week! Bring em on baby!!!

Sorry, I got a little carried away.

Mike.

If I plan to use 645mg servos and 700bb on ailerons and elevators, one per control surface, and I use a y-harness do I have to put another battery and Y on the servo side of the receiver? In the instructions they seem to tell me that I do but everybody says not to worry about it. Thanks for your answer.

lol thats ok mike. i appreciate the answer. and thanks for the info on the servos. incidentally, what size planes would you limit those servos to?

and about what i asked, i wasnt trying to start a brand war.. lol.. far from it.. i was honesly just curious. and as i said before.. i have purchased hitec equipment before (much to the chagrin of some of my fellow R/Cers.) i have them installed in my airplanes, cars and my heli, and have found them to be just as good as my futaba and airtronics.. but with a better price point.

Well I am happy my LHS doesn't like Hitec! To get rid of a 3800 Rx, he sold it to me Can 30$ (US20$). Normally it goes for about Can 93$ !!!! (it's a brand new Rx, not a used one BTW)

frank- It wouldn't hurt but you don't have to. Just make sure you use at least a 1000+mah battery.

GelCell- .15ci and smaller. Thanks for the good words!
