For JR TX... channel 1 is throttle and channel 4/b is tail... and 2,3 are for servo.. but still don't work... tolnally a defected product.. but thanks for all he help. The gws reciever is a R-4PII .... and i guess it a single con. .... does that work with jr radio or no?

Hi helisfreak

I easiest way to try your GWS RX is to first make sure both RX and TX are using the exact frequency (e.g. 35.125MHz)

Then disconnect all the channel from the RX. Connect power to your RX and choose one Servo to Connect to RX Ch1. Then use your TX and try to move Right/Left Stick to see which one will trigger your servo. If all cannot trigger the servo, then either it is incompatible or damage or wrong frequency.
If it does trigger the servo, then mark which stick movement goes to which channel. Then move to next channel and repeat again.

BTW... for Futaba, the connection is Signal, +ve, Ground (White or Orange, Red, Black) where in JR, it is +ve, Signal, Ground!
Make sure the connection is correct.

Guyz what u can do for your aero hawk to take off nice and easy is .--buy all these mods
walts main collar shaft
CSM HL2000 Gyro 94$
light weight alu swashplate 55$
adjustable servo links 14$
direct tail rotor 1$$
I am planing to change some more stock parts. right now it seems to be flying but need more power to lift the the heavy gyro and other stuff. Its a peice of crap for sure , its also cheap. cheap and flying does not fit togather. you have to speant big bucks on it. I dont think anyone flew AERO HAWK out of box. I tried with stock parts. My all 3 -4 weekends were in vain
and when you order make sure to order more then one pair of main rotor. beacuse yout r going to break them. And dont spent on stock parts. Alu parts like i told is a solid investment.

Yes, I think the same way as you do Bdesh, i think there are some major part need to be change in order for the aerohawk to fly well... The stock swash plate don't look to convincing, it look so breakable. Im thinking to change it to the alluminium one, I bid one on ebay for 50 but was outbided... (mad) I saw one sell in helihobby for 80.... Where is the best place to buy and reasonable price for upgrade part for aerohawk?

SuperHornet, yes I tried everything, I guess that the reciever is damage, not working at all, I use separate power souce and pluck to the reciever and same freq, the servo move a little when i first pluck it to the reciever... but it seem the reciever doesn't recognize the signal from the radio... I think it different shift. BUt anyway, I got that reciever for 15$... not going to spend time caring with it... Bought it from rc-expert... email them for 3 day now.. NO RESPONSE...... they usually reponse me within 1 day BEFORE i bought the stuff.. now i already bought it.. they don't give a darn thing about it.... just my opinion...

Ok... Just wait for your news for that new receiver.

BTW... I once on purpose swap the Signal and +Ve for fun and the symptom I get is when u plug in, the servo will move a bit. Then all channel not response.

The Aerohawk flies well stock if you set it up right. It actually does not like upgrades. Your problem seems to be too much added weight with all that mods, making it underpowered. Be patient, it takes time to trim it.

glennt is right bdesh... stock helicopter take off fine...
Your stock one doesn't take off at all??? if it doesn't... mean it to heavy.... it should be 340gram or under... mine is arround 340 with training gear on... but it sure does have enough power to lift up easy... Or maybe ur battery is low... when my aerohawk battery is low.. it do stupid thing... like mess up tail rotor speed. It but stock should fly fine, where did u get your? I don't see why it not flying with stock....

If u want this kind of flying http://www.augustoheli.com/videostuff/videoarchive/Electrics/skirtz_3dHornet02.WMV then u need alot of MOD for real.... i mean.. this hornet im showing you guy here... i think it a very stablelize one, either the pilot is very good or the part are super good... but I think both is... part and pilot...

FINALLY.... I GOT it to fly great now... stable enough to stay in one place for 2 second...

I got outside and was very stress because this morning i couldn't trim it or nothing... so I set everything to center... try to center the pitch and stuff... then i just PUNCH FULL throttle.... and trust me.... it lift up right away... i mean... i guess it TRUE.... ground effect mess you up... Don't be affraid...... hahhaa.. just fly the thing.... that what i did. At first i was scare because it move everywhere when it about to lift up... But if u get it to go up about 2-3 feet then it will stablelize itself... Even though... I finally got it up to about 20 feet up in the air.. but then when i went back down.. smack into the broken washer maching laying in the back yard..
result = broke the tail blade.... there... broke the first thing on my hawk... but lucky my package came with extra main blade and tail blade... going to the park sometime 2morrow... for a more extreme fly...

I use to fly WING (zagi, terni) .... but I decide to move to helicopter.... because i can't learning to fly at all.... i can't see where the airplane is GOING.... my vision is not good enough i guess.. one time i fly to far and can't turn back.. took me an hour to find it.. end up on an elementary 20ffeet high roof... hahahaa... So i guess moving to helicopter is harder to fly.. but at lease i don't have to LOOK that far to fly an heli...

Here are some pix of my heli and my setup... pretty normal, not much wire since it a pcb board....

the working helicopter

I mounted the JR reciever on the bottom of the pcd board.. laying horrizontal, that is the best way to fit it since it to big to stand beside the pcb board... And the wire attenna, I decide to wrap it arround the tail gear.

my hint and experience so far with it...
1. the trainer make it harder for u to learn how to fly, BUT, it provide u chance of not wrecking your thing right away.... so use it if u new... But scroll the ball closer to the helicopter body to reduce vibration.
2. the stock wash plate on aerohawk doesn't move to well... so put some oil in the ball bearing....(work great on my hawk, reduce vibration imediately)
3. Add some grease to the fly wheel... no more squeaking sound... and help motor spin more faster to i think.
